Jess, this is fabulous. I adore the layering of the papers, as well as the random coordination that the papers sport. I agree with K, about the date, however I haven't peeked at page two perchance it is there? This looks like a fun day and it definitely produced a great layout!
I like that you used the same idea as the "Cousins" layout and yet the pages look so different. The scallop is cools and the colors work well together. I'd like to see a date!
I love the layering of pps and the color combos. My eyes scroll across the page because of how efficiently the title, photos, and pps are placed in relation to one another. I like the sea green shadow of the title and would suggest a thin mat in the same color for the photos. The photo strip can really get addicting, I'm already considering another one.
Great interpretation of that sketch! & turned on its side, it coincidentally reminds of Brenda's Sleepy Powers also. I like how the light blue title looks w/ the brown & the layered pp on the left - love your use of that BG collection! And of course I dig the use & placement of multiple photos. Love the fact that you use the tan background from the other side for this side's scalloped part (& vice versa w/ this side's brown background & the other side's scallops), it unifies the 2 sides nicely.
This is my two-pager of the fun trip we took to the beach in July. I based this LO off of the new Ali Edwards sketch that's on pencillines.com. http://www.pencillines.com/2007/10/sketch-53.html is the link. I rotated it for the first page.
