It is almost Halloween and that means it is time to start crafting handmade treats for classroom exchanges. As a preschool teacher and a crafter, I am always on the lookout for easy crafts to create for holiday party exchanges. It's time to create some quick and easy Halloween treat bags for my students!

What I absolutely love about this bag is that it can be as involved as you want or something as simple as some colorful cardstock, a character image and some spooky stickers to complete the treat bag. We all know that the kids will be more excited about what is in the bag than what is on the outside.
To create these bags, I used several dies to help streamline the process. First, I die cut all of the goodie bags with Lawn Fawn’s Goodie Bag Die. I chose to alternate the bag colors with a solid purple set, a solid orange set and polka dot cardstock, which I finished with a Lawn Fawn Stitched Scalloped Borders Die.
I white heat embossed the sentiment using a stamp from Lawn Fawn’s Costume Party stamp set prior to assembling the bags. Next, I put all of the bags together by adhering the two parts of the die cut bag and adding the polka dot cardstock to the front of the bag.
I find it easier to set up an assembly line type of station when I have to mass produce a craft and complete all of the die cutting first followed by adhering all of the bags and finally stamping and decorating.
Now comes the fun part of decorating the bags. I started by stamping the adorable Witch girl and Jack O’ Lantern boy from the stamp set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 80 lb. cardstock and die cut the images using a circle die. Using my Copic Markers, I colored in the images with a few shades of purple and orange.
Once the coloring was complete, I die cut a piece of black glittered cardstock with a Sizzix Scallop Circle Framelit and Lawn Fawn’s Cute Cobweb with black cardstock as the backdrop for my adorable characters.
For some finishing touches, I die cut a bat using Lawn Fawn’s Trick or Treat die and a spider using Lawn Fawn’s Cute Cobweb die from black glitter cardstock. Lastly, I added googly eyes to the bat and the spider, a piece of tissue paper and a chocolate treat for my students to enjoy on Halloween Day.
