Like most things from We R Makers, this product is very well made and sturdy. However, I have tried photographing my cards with a 12x12 backdrop, which is what I normally use, but it isn't big enough and my cards will not stand upright. You will need to use much larger paper/cardstock for it to fold with enough space to stand your object up on it.
I make home decor and other larger projects and like to share photos of them but have had a hard time getting a clean space to photograph them. this makes it super easy as I just need enough clean space to set up the stand. I used contact paper to cover some poster board and then used these to hold it. since these are separate pieces, I can use the poster board in either orientation based on the project. If the back bit of the poster board is too high, you may need something to hold it up so it doesn't bend down, though. These make storage easy too... I put the posterboard behind a shelf and store the brackets in a makeup bag nearby making the storage space required minimal. It also makes having multiple back ground choices cheaper since its just some posterboard and contact paper.
