The Curio Box Bigz XL Die with Framelits Set by Tim Holtz for Sizzix is perfect for displaying anything that you'd like! Included in this first of its kind set is one Bigz XL Die and 5 Framelits Dies that will give you truly unique design. The approximate assembled size of the box is 4.15" x 2.875" x 1.15".
The Bigz die is used to make a 3D box, perfect for gifting, while the included Framelits allows you to make personalized labels for the perfect finishing touch.
The Bigz XL die is extra-long and can cleanly cut a variety of thick materials, such as cardstock, chipboard, fabric, foam, magnet, leather, metallic foil, paper, and sandpaper (in limited use). The die is designed for use ONLY with the BIGkick, Big Shot, and Vagabond machines and requires the use of a pair of Extended Cutting Pads, sold separately.
This little treat box die is so versatile. Great for making little candy boxes for the various holidays and little shadowbox ornaments.....possibilities are endless. I'm deducting 1 star because the bottom of the box doesn't have tabs for the enclosure. I would have much preferred tabs than having to tape all the corners. This is just on the bottom of the box the top has tabs so no problem there. All in all a great die!
Tim Holtz hits it out of the park every time. I am excited to use this Curio Box for many projects. It is small when assembled so don't expect a really large box. I prefer to use thin chipboard rather than flimsy paper for these. Or 100lb or higher cardstock. You can reinforce it with layers too. Also the bottom part that fits in has no side tabs, this is by design and doesn't really affect anything.Remember, you'll need XL plates and base for this one.

Where can I find actual assembly instructions for the curio box die? The project instructions do not have sensible instructions to assemble the box, just what you need to make the project.
