Distress Oxide Inks from Ranger Ink and Tim Holtz are a go-to for creative crafters who love to blend, stamp, layer, and experiment with color. These unique hybrid inks combine pigment and dye for a reactive finish that's perfect for card making, mixed media, journaling, and more.
I vowed not to try these. I have so many ink pads now. But, I must say they are amazing. They blend so easily, they stamp with great coverage and they dry much faster than pigment inks. You can use them as watercolors, so much you can do with them. With only 12 colors, why not. But, they just announced 12 more. Oh dear . . .
This is one of the favorite colors of distress ink now in a dye/pigment oxide ink. Pretty on it's own but the magic happens when you add a little water - droplets or a gentle light spray. Mix colors together for a beautiful background. I have ten of these inks and love them all. And they are just plain fun.
All of these Oxide Inks have been so much fun to use!!! I have nearly all the colours and was only going to have three to four! HA! I say, you can never have enough of these. Highly recommend just giving them a try, you will not regret it. All the colours truly work together. The effects are dreamy. I can't wait to make more backgrounds and stamping.
Fast efficient service from company. These oxide inks are easy to blend on cardstock and watercolor paper. When water is added on top of the inks the effect is very nice.

These inks blend like soft butter with an amazing finish. You NEED all the colors. A perfect addition to the Tim Holtz Distress family.
this is the first oxide I have truly used. It dries a lot quicker and has a softer look (chalkiier) than the distress inks. I do like it.
Very fun effects. Downside is choosing what color to get. I hope they produce the smaller pads like the distress inks.

I've had this in my wishlist for awhile, the bundle was always sold out. I finally got my hands on the set and I love it. I've been adding to my collection. So far, I'm at 40 both the Distress Oxides and the Reinkers.
