This A2 Full Front Shaker thin metal die set is from Picket Fence Studios and is part of the Stand Alone Die Collection. This die set includes three dies that cut out 27 shapes and 12 words along with the shaker front. The A2 Full Front Shaker die has four scoring lines and four cutting edges. There is also a rectangular frame die that protects against the small shaker pieces falling out, and another rectangular die that cuts the 27 shaker shapes and the 12 words. This die set is going to make perfect shaker cards for you besides giving you shaker pieces and words for your cards! This die set is compatible with leading die cutting machines (sold separately). The largest die measures 6.16" x 7.47" and the smallest die measures 3.81" x 5.06".
Note: This die requires a die cutting machine that will cut the 6.16" x 7.47" die, so be sure to measure your machine's plates to make sure it is compatible.
I like this full front shaker card die and will get a lot of use from it. I like the words and other shapes that are on the die, as well. I'm glad I found it.
Very nice for shaker cards, takes some using to get it right, need to use foam tape around the edges to prevent leakage of shaker material
I finally decided to get this die because I wanted to do full front shaker cards for winter this year. Sadly I won't be able to use this die for my cards. The piece that it cuts out is slightly too big for an A2 sized card. I don't mind the panel having a border around it, but because the side flaps don't fold up snugly against the edges of the panel, there is overhang around all four sides of my A2 card base, meaning the card doesn't fit in the envelope. I could force fold over the score lines the die makes so it fits better, but then I would have to trim the excess, which kind of defeats the purpose of having the die in my opinion. I could make an A6 (4-1/2x6-1/4) or an A7 (5x7) card, but would need bigger envelopes, which is money I am not going to spend or take the time to make myself.
