The Jumbo Dauber super-sized sponge dauber from Tsukineko is the perfect applicator tool for inks, stains, adhesives, antiquing solutions, dyes, and other craft products. Create custom effects by daubing, stenciling and smearing on my surfaces!
I love these blenders which I've had trouble finding in the big box craft stores. They're so much easier to hold than pieces of sponge, and they make it easy to apply color evenly. I've purchased a half dozen so that I can switch colors and don't have to keep washing them after each application. I just learned about bokeh (making circles of color that look sort of like fuzzy light reflections--not a very good explanation, I know), and these sponges make it quite easy.
I recently started using stencils and this is awesome to apply the ink to a larger surface - because it is larger there are less streaks and the color is more consistent.
I love these daubers. I especially love the Jumbo size ones, but I have many other sizes as well and they're all great !!
I like the small daubbers, but love the Big one.
I do some full page stenciling with Dyan Reaveley's stencils (she doesn't to small) and these work well!
These are the greatest daubers I ever used. Great to use with Oxide ink from TH
Bought six of these and will definetly buy some more. These wash up very good to be used with another color. The sponge is a little stained when using a darker color but it does not affect anything when usng a lighter ink, (when washed properly)
I love my sponge daubers and the jumbo ones work so well. It is easy to sponge a background or even the edge of a paper piece.
This is the best ink blender to use with water based inks that can be easily cleaned off the foam. The curved surface makes the initial tap easier to slowly start the new ink color. If you want one for every color family, this may not be for you since the top does not remove. I have 3 since I usually blend 3 different colors at one time.
I like this item but I have to get a lot of ink from the ink pad in order for this dauber to put the ink on paper in a way that does not look streaky or blotchy. This style of dauber (nothing against this particular size or brand) also tends to leave half-moon-shaped marks if I am not really careful. I can use this for some things but I prefer the brushes. I will use these when I can -- they'll give me the ability to keep a designated dauber for sky and grass in images that I stamp.
