I waited a long time for this machine. WOW it does not disappoint. I am in love with the huge cutting platform, that you get a magnetic matt as part of the bundle, the machine is quiet and fast. The cuts, even if extremely intricate are amazing. Putting this on it’s own lazy susan is a space saver as well as making it much easier to keep 8n one spot for instant use.
I also love how this generation can accommodate ALL sizes of plates, a huge bonus.

Seasoned crafter here, Sizzix big shot,Sizzix original die cut for steel rule dies, Sizzix Switch, Gemini, Cricut X 3, Silhouette x 2, Empress beats them all.
Love the Empress Elite! The swivel base is a game changer. The larger plates hold a lot! I did order the smaller cutting plates but you have to order the magnetic mat from Anna Griffin for those to work, which I did. So far, no warping of plates. The sandwich is cutting into the magnetic mat so I see that as being the consumable.
Definitely recommend for both newbie or seasoned crafter! Would've bought it 30 years ago if it was available - would have saved $$$

I reviewed this product for years due to the price but when my arthritis made it hard to craft I took the plunge. Now I am kicking myself for not getting it years ago!
I received a lot of suggestions during my search for an electric die cut machine and I’m so happy I decided to purchase the Empress. Love the ease of operating the machine and the turntable makes usage and storage even more convenient. Thank goodness my days of hand crank die cut machines are over!
This machine is a workhorse and I'm loving it. I wish when you ordered one you would have the opportunity to also get a large embossing mat and the opportunity to order a full set of small plates. I'm having trouble finding both.
It’s a nice machine but just too big for my space. I also thought it came with the smaller plates. Not a fan of the big plates.
Don’t like that you can’t return it.

Hi, I was wondering about the size of the opening. I have the empress. It won�t accept the molds used with the Heartfelt Creation molds for flowers. Is the opening wider? Taller? Thank you for any help you can give.

The instructions say you should rotate and flip your plates after each use. Should I also rotate and flip the magnetic mat and/or metal shim after each use?

Hello, it is never a bad idea to flip and rotate the components of your sandwich. It is most common to flip and rotate cutting plates as this helps extend their life span. This also helps prevent bowing and evenly distribute the pressure of the die cutting process across the plates. If you do flip and rotate the magnetic mat and/or metal shim, we recommend making sure these 2 are not on the outside of the sandwich, where they can come in contact with the rollers of the machine.
