I was deffinetly not sure how this punch board was going to be but I was surprised at how easy it was to get the hang of it. Once you have made a very letters everything else is very else to do just guessing without even needing the little booklet! I also love that there is a app you can download that makes it easier to have on hand when looking for a letter quickly! :) 5 Star product!
I already had the original size alphabet board prior to ordering this, so when this mini board came in the mail, I was tickled by how cute it is compared to its "mama" board. Works exactly the same as this big board, only everything is more petite. The smaller blade in particular can be very fiddly for someone whose fingers may not be very nimble.
My only complaint is that when I used 80# copy paper to try out the board, the rounder punch merely pulled on the paper and did not create rounded corners. But when I tried a scrap of photo paper (much thicker and stiffer than copy paper), and it worked perfectly. I would have wanted the option of using either thin paper or cardstock on this board (depending on my project), but it looks like I have to use only paper that is stiffer than copy weight paper. That said, I will be keeping this board.
I have the original We R Memory Keepers Alphabet Punch Board and I love it so when I saw the mini on HSN, I knew I would have to have it as well. The mini is super compact in size as are the letters it creates. I like the mini best for cards and scrapbook pages. It's a sturdy tool (great for taking to crops) and yes, it works on glitter paper with ease. The slicing blade is very sharp--be aware.
I wish that in addition to being able to cut a banner end on each letter, there was also a way to cut a rounded end on each letter. For now, I just use the corner chomped to do that.
I also found it kindof amusing that the chipboard ABC "sample" included in the packaging is not actually the size as the letters that this tool cuts. It's supposed to be a sample but yet, it's not. Weird.

The instructions are horrible. Not user friendly. I don't think I'll use it much.
It is a cool little tool and easy to use. However the blade doesn't cut well, it tends to "pull" on the paper. I have tried to use it several ways and still ruined a few letters. It works using an exacto knife, but then that defeats the purpose of an all inclusive tool doesn't it?
Cute version of the big one. I find myself punching alphabet and numbers for almost all of my projects.
This device is so convenient for that last minute personalization on any project.

bought it on a whim and made my first banner on the day it arrived! the title says it all - it's SO MUCH FUN!!
the included direction pictures are clear on how to make the letters and there are variations/tips on youtube videos.

The book shows only uppercase and numbers. I haven't watched the video yet but I would think lower case would be too hard considering the sizes of the cuts. Hope this helps.

I purchased this alphabet mini board over the weekend from a Facebook post and love it! My question though is I did not receive the little sheets of paper to use and I can't find a UTube video showing how to measure and cut out the correct demensions. I am HORRIBLE when it comes to measuring things I have to cut and when I outlined the measurements it still wasn't right? Is there a video that shows how to cut down a piece of paper to show the real demensions for this mini board? Should I have gotten the correct size of paper with my order?thanks!
There is and app on your IPad you download that tell you how to cut the letters. Look up American crafts ABC etc. then you want need your book..

Is there an attachment or a different cutter that would cut smaller or larger letters using the same base? In other words, are there interchangeable cutters of different sizes that you can put in the base after removing the one already in it?

No. There are two boards. One is mini and the other one is for banner size letters.

I need to know the size of the cut letters. 1 1/2" by 2 1/2" is too large for a scrapbook. Or is that just the size of the paper that you put into the machine? I'm looking for 1" tall letters.

The letters are too big for general scrapbooking. They might be ok for a big title or a word that you want to stand out/focus on. I am a scrapbooker.
