I have been a disc planner waaay before it was a trend and I wanted to like this punch. I have been on the hunt for a single disc/mushroom punch so that I can add custom chipboard, thin plastic/metal tip-ins/inserts to my disc notebooks and planners. I have the Levenger Circa, Office Depot Tul, Staples Arc, and Happy Planner punches, so I know what I am looking for in a disc/mushroom punch.
This punches through matboard and thin plastic, but the mushroom top is really not large enough to make thicker materials slide easily on the discs.
However, for thick materials like matboard or leather, if you have a single heavy duty 1/4" hole-punch that punches easily through chipboard/metal (e.g. crop-a-dile) you can use this to punch the initial holes and then use as a guide and punch out the mushroom section with the 1/4" punch.
Bottom line it works okay, but it needs improvement!
What I liked:
1. depth from edge is great!
2. it locks closed
3. the guide is accurate and works well with all of the brands above.
What I didn't like:
1. small "mushroom top". Needs larger mushroom top so thicker materials slide better on all brands of discs.
2. removable punch guide. It's annoying if I don't need to use it.
3. punch catcher is small. I have been using it with the punch catcher open if I need to punch several items.
This tool was a perfect addition to my planner line up, it is compact and purposeful for punching pages for disc systems. I needed just to cut through an overlapping washi and I was able to punch just the hole I needed with precision. Great invention!

I LOVE these! They are perfect for my Happy Planner planners. A little bulky for my hands but they are small. They are still easy to use even with the bulk.
Such a great tool for scrapbooking or cardmaking! It works so well and it’s easy to punch with.
I saw a review on YouTube and could not wait for it to come out! The wait was worth it! It's perfect. It punches through all the things it claims. Very easy to use. Long time coming. Crafters are swooning (well, I am!)
