Contents:

  • One 12” MINC Foil Applicator machine
  • One transfer folder
  • One 6” x 12” piece of gold foil
  • Three tags
  • One instruction manual

Create crafts that are unique and personal with the MINC Collection Starter Kit by Heidi Swapp! This heated foil system will give your DIY projects a professional look; the machine has six settings, four rollers and a motor that goes forward and reverse. You can create your own designs when you print from a toner-based printer and the machine can accommodate papers up to thirteen inches.

Q & A:

What is the maximum card stock weight that can run through this machine?

Answer: Approximately 65 to 80 cover weight card stock.

I have a HP printer; will I be able to use this printer to copy things and then foil them with the MINC?

Answer: You can only use a toner base printer with the MINC machine.

How to use the machine:

  • Turn the machine on
  • Select your heat setting; the light will turn from red to green when ready
  • Place your paper, cardstock, die cut, tag or cupcake topper in the transfer sheet
  • Choose your foil (good luck, there are so many pretty colors!) and place it over your paper with the shiny side up
  • Place the transfer sheet inside the machine; the rollers will grab the sheet and pull it through
  • Lift the transfer sheet to reveal the foiled accents on your beautiful project!

Tips:

  • Make sure you place the reactive foil shiny side up when running through the machine.
  • Choose your heat setting based on the weight of your material; use lower heat settings for lighter papers and a higher heat setting for thick cardstock or chipboard.
  • The zero setting has no heat; however, it will apply pressure to your project when running your paper through the machine. This setting works great for your double sided stickers and rub ons.

Ideas of what you can create using the MINC Foil Applicator:

  • Cards
  • Wall art
  • Cupcake toppers
  • Party décor and favors
  • Pages
  • Die cuts
  • Tags
  • The creative possibilities are endless!

You are going to have hours of pure, joyful craftiness when you make pretty things with Heidi’s MINC transfer foil machine! Enjoy telling your story or sharing your creativity with others through your handmade foiled crafts.

Warranty:

The MINC has a six month warranty against manufacturer defects. Please keep your original receipt and proof of purchase in order to receive a manufacturer replacement.

Here are some samples of what customers are saying about the Minc Starter Kit:

Great Results

“I'm really loving the MINC; I started foiling with the Royal Sovereign 1315, but didn't get consistent results. I'm not sure what the difference is, because both machines are similar in heat levels and control. I'm thinking the extra rollers in the MINC verses the two in the Royal Sovereign may be the primary reason. The MINC is heavier and it definitely looks and feels like a higher quality product. I'm very happy I purchased it. BTW, I love Heidi's foils too. I love Scrapbook.com and can always depend on quick shipping and excellent customer service. Thank You!” – lcalderone

Christmas all over again!

“I received my MINC today and loved how easy it is to operate. I did read the instruction manual but didn't really have to. Easy as 1-2-3. This machine will be getting a lot of usage. I also tested a print from the laser printer and it works like a charm. I completely agree with Heidi, ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES.” – Clovely

    I Love My Minc!!

WOW!! I don't even know where to start? I just got my MINC Starter Kit for Christmas this year and oh my! I am looking for more things I can foil. This machine is awesome!! I am a candle maker and I really wish I would have gotten this machine when it first came out. It adds such an elegant touch to my candles. I wasn't sure if it would work for dressing up a candle? However, when I applied the foiled print to my candle it turned out beautiful and it wasn't very difficult to do. I would highly recommend Heidi Swapp's MINC Starter Kit to EVERYONE that crafts. Even folks that don't. I would have given this product 10 stars if it were an option!

    Works like a dream

I was so happy to receive this product. I've used others in the past & was about to give up on foiling. Then this arrived & worked beautifully the first time I used it!
You will not be disappointed with this purchase. It has a good price point too.

This Heidi Swapp MINC 12 inch foil applicator is wonderful

I love this foil applicator. It is so easy to use and the results are fantastic. I use it with toner sheets. I foil the toner sheets and then cut the shape with my Sizzix Big Shot Plus. These work so well together.

    I would highly recommend this.

    Fantastic machine.

I had the mini Minc and wanted the larger one to laminate. I was not disappointed. It arrived quickly and in perfect condition. I love to print and foil all my inside sentiments so I'm very pleased with this machine and recommend it to anyone who wants to foil.

What ever you foil must be on a piece of paper that has been run through a laserjet printer?? So if you cut something out of crd stock, this means you cannot foil it. Is that right??   By: User (10-May-15) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!

  • Can I use my Minc to laminate?   By: stislow (13-Nov-20) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • Yes! You can use your MINC machine to laminate a document, a flyer, business presentation...etc. You also can make a cover for a mini album using cardstock and even add glitter, embossing powder and sequins inside the laminating sheets before sending it into the MINC to laminate. Here's a couple great videos Jennifer McGuire shows how you can embellish with laminating with your MINC machine. Hope this will help! :)))

    • It looks like the transfer folder is about 13x13. The manual doesn't specific how thick of a material you could put through it. By: Dkuhs23 (26-Mar-15) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported. Thank you!

  • Since the minc gets pretty warm, should I have something under it? What type of surface should it be on?   By: relajo39 (21-Aug-24) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • Hello. The MINC gets warm inside, but should not harm any work surface in contact with the exterior. To protect any delicate surfaces from crafting activities in general it is advisable to use a silicone workspace mat. By: Scrapbook.com (22-Aug-24) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! • What is thickest paper that you can use? Ive seen below in the q&a one answer was 65-80lb cardstock and another answer that said chipboard, (I saw on Google that chipboard is 30pt/624gsm) which one is correct?   By: krystachoi (09-Jul-24) Helpful Question?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This question has been reported. Thank you!
    • Hello. The opening on the full-sized MINC is only 3mm thick, so that will limit the size of the material that can be used in addition to the other necessary materials for foiling or laminating. 30 pt chipboard is .76mm thick, so it should work. For best results always consult the user manual for proper heat setting. By: Scrapbook.com (10-Jul-24) Helpful Answer?  Yes  |  No Thank you! Report Inappropriate This Answer has been reported.
