This is 1 side of my 2-pager about helping my niece w/ her Flat Stanley project. For those of you who aren't familiar w/ Flat Stanley, it's a children's book where the main character Stanley gets flattened, can travel all sorts of places & be mailed around to see friends. Lots of schools use this as a unit to teach kids about different places, having them mail their own Flat Stanleys to people they know far away. In my niece's case, her class used life-sized tracings to make flat versions of themselves (hence, Flat Sarah).

We were SO psyched to take Flat Sarah from our home in the ‘burbs to check out the sights in New York City! And even took her on everyday things too (grocery shopping, our jobs, etc).

This LO is a bit crowded but hey, if you've ever been to Manhattan, or even seen it in photos & movies, you'd know why, LOL! I wanted to capture that feeling (& I also had lots of pics, so that worked out, heh). Please pardon the scans, which cut off the margins (esp the right & bottom). Also, a few of the stars & the mattes are foil cardstock which is shiny & silver IRL; it looks dark here. The little NYC picture cutouts are from postcards. The left LO is a pocket page that contains my niece's original letter to us (you can see it peeking out), a letter from her school & a thank you letter. (FYI the right side mentions taking Flat Sarah to Houston for the Christmas holidays, & to my MILs for Hanukkah; the pics from those events are on those LOs). The Creative Imaginations screw stickers were a bday gift from either Angela/sosumi san or Tiffany/whenscraphappenzz (don't remember who gave which CI stickers) – thanks to both you babez!

We were hoping we'd give my niece the most exciting project in her class! But someone in her class sent his/her Flat Person to AFRICA, can't top that, LOL. That's cool, because we (my DH, Flat Sarah & I) had an absolute blast!

TFL :o)
