Journaling: Shortly after Kim & Ethan moved out, her room got wallpapered, bordered, curtained and decorated to become my scrap/craft room. October 2008

As you can see, butterflies are a favorite theme of mine - to me they represent a person's ability to transform themselves into something completely different if they are just willing to put the effort into it. So decorating with butterflies was a no-brainer. :)

For anyone who is curious: the large blue b-fly (top left) is a set of kid's wings from Halloween; the b-flies above the shelves and table are wall decals; and the artwork above the storage drawers is my DD's name, purchased from a sidewalk artist in NYC several years ago.

This didn't photograph as well as I'd hoped. :( The title and butterflies were cut with my Slice from shimmery cs (blue & purple - the purple photographed more as brown); the small butterflies are blue and purple metallic confetti (stuck on with glue dots). The mats are blue and purple, with corner punches using an old Fiskars corner punch "lace."
