I have just used watered down Elmer's glue.....but that was with the pre-schoolers I use to teach. And it was tissue paper. I am sure Mod Podge would work just fine.
I created Disney banks for my kids when we were planning our trip. I used the plain Mason jars and mod podge with pattern paper with no problems. It's all still attached.
It also matters what look you are trying to achieve. I used the glossy mod podge but have the matte as well. And how big a project you are looking to cover.
I would use Glossy Accents too. I used some on a piece of acrylic, and it worked well. I didn't want the dried lines to show, so I used a brush to put it on. You can see the strokes, but it's better than the lines, if you know what I mean.
I hadn't even thought about what kind of effect I wanted - I just want the paper to stick LOL! What I have in mind to make is something similar to the Disney banks that kirasmommy mentioned, so it sounds like my mod podge should work, and I'm covering a recycled candle jar (just a small one from Bath and Body Works). But I think I'm going to check out the Glossy Accents too, because that sounds like it might look cool. What's the best kind of brush to use with it?
Thank you all for your suggestions - I knew there would be people here who could help me!
