Favorite storage/organizing thing you have?

This seems like a fun new forum, I'm always looking for innovative ideas to store my ever-growing collection of scrap stuff.

What's your favorite thing about your scrap storage?

Mine is the Ikea Raskog Trolley. It's sturdy, convenient (I push it back into the hall closet when I'm done), and holds a TON of stuff. And it's a cute turquoise color

My embellishment drawers! They are from the garage section but there's tons of dividable drawers, and they're small enough to keep in view on my desk.

I don't have an answer right now because my stuff is all over the place while I try to get my room put together. But, I really love that cart and I think I definitely need one of those! Thanks for sharing.

I have an IKEA drawer set that lives under my desk. The bottom drawer comes out on wheels, and contains hanging wallets for my alphas, my gems, craft foam, folder of stickers and a bunch of miscellaneous stuff, and a box at the back holds spare adhesive and on the top are two layers of ink pads.

The next drawer up holds my wooden stamps and Maya Road tins of acrylic stamps.

The next drawer up holds my punches.

And the top drawer (which I can open without having the bottom drawer open) contains Stickles, plastic tubs of embellishments such as brads, charms, dew drops, eyelets, and the adhesives that I use all the time.

That is a tough one... My old re-built kitchentable maybe? It collected dust in our barn so I rebuilt it and put shelves on one side with cute baskets, chairs on the other.



I eventually moved three of my IKEA Helmer drawers and placed them under the flap.
Gives me more storage since I could fit another shelf in the room where the drawers were.

As for the original question, my current favorite is the pink Craftsman caddie. It has umpteen small elastic loops on theinside for stickles. I really should dig through everything else, as it became a catchall for embellishments, tools and glimmer mists.

Right now, I can't think of anything that is my favorite storage item. I am always trying to find the perfect thing and can never find it. lol

My most favorite is definitely my card catalog. My dear sweet hubby found it for me on an auction site where a county from our hometown had listed a bunch of stuff for sale. I was ecstatic when I got it home and can't imagine my scrap room without it!

I've been looking everywhere for either a card catalog or a dentist storage drawers. Haven't been able to find either I'm envious

My fave is probably stupid but I got a little metal storage thing from office max it has a large drawer on the bottom that will hold my kits in their bags and the top is just the perfect size for my clip it up to sit on.

I'm not sure this is my FAVORITE storage idea but it's my latest one that I like a lot. I pulled my border punches out of a drawer I rarely looked in and put them on a narrow shelf I added under an existing shelf. That area within the brackets always seems like wasted space, so I added a board which just holds those punches. Now I see them all the time and am more apt to use them.

My desk! Since I don't have an actual room to scrapbook, an area of my room is devoted to this hobby. My desk is short but has two (surfaces? Whats the word?), which makes it easier to store everything in the one underneath and work on the top

I have a entertainment armoire that I'm using to hold all of my paper. It's so functional!

I don't know what brand it is, but its a rolling cart with 10 drawers. I have 2 of them, and it fits all my stuff with room to grow right now. Back a few years ago when I had TONS of stuff, before I sold everything, I had like 50 JetMax Cubes and I loved them!

my cupcake tier black iron thingy. It holds all of my inks and stamp pads and reinkers.

My favorite thing right now would be my cart I got for Christmas. I love it! It's very handy and I still have room to grow in it.

I think it would be my pink and brown caddy made of polka dot fabric!

my favorite storage thing is my craft room.... Just having a room for it all is a wonderful thing.

My favorite storage item is my ScrapRack! Yes, I have one and I love it. I also miss it and am looking forward to having it back in a few weeks.

I recently bought Rubbermaid's all access organizers in extra small, which is the perfect size for things like markers, glitter, and other collections. Due to space restraints in my scrapbooking area, I have to stack a lot of things together. Being able to get to something without having to unstack everything else makes me excited! I got them at Home Depot and I'm already contemplating going back to get more. I'm wondering if the medium or larger sized containers might be good for paper packs, which I have a ton of. We shall see, I guess!

Love these. The Container Store makes something similar in some other sizes, like shoebox.

I have several favorites. I have the IKEA turquoise cart and LOVE.
Also, I got all my ribbon off spools and first used a picture box, outgrew that and went to Snapware containers. Pics are posted in my gallery. I can easily find my ribbon, it's very portable, and takes up little space.
I have also tried several ways to store sticklers. Just went to the artbin trays. Two fit in a super satchel I already had. So far I like this a lot too.

I am a big fan of antiques and love using them for storage. I have a large habadashery case which is by far my favorite piece of storage and it is big enough to hold tons of stuff but I also have an antique apothecary cabinet which I use for paper and an apothecary label holder for ribbon. I have an old glassmakers case for embellishments. They make great storage for small item, I have played around with the idea of getting a smaller two or three drawer spool cabinet for storing stamps but right now have enough storage. My holy grail is a humphreys case with all the little drawers for storing embellishments. I saw one at auction a few years back but it went for to high. I have been on the lookout since but they are either missing drawers, damaged, the wrong style or to expensive.

I have an armoire that sits across from my desk I can twirl my chair around and open it and my cricut is all set up and ready to go. The cord for cricut runs thru back of armoire so I got one of those remote off an on outlet gadgets at Menards that you can use to turn off and on xmas tree lights. It works great I just push a button and my machine has electricity, push it off when I am done.

ooh love the card catalogs as storage. I am a huge fan of antiques as storage devices!!

Have you tried ebay or etsy! You cas also use apothecary cabinets. Thee have lots of drawers. A good place to look also is antique marts and shows.

My favorite storage/organizational thing in my scrapcorner is my flat files that my butcher block table top is on top of. My husbands company moved last summer and didn't want to take these with them so he brought them home for me!

I went to Harbor Frieght and bought 3 tiered bins (it spins) and I put my punches on it. It has been my favorite storage for ages and I just wish I had more table room for more.

I love my black desk that has two shelves and two drawers, one for little stuff and the other for filing. Then I have a glass door on the other side of it with a shelve. It holds text books at the moment and some of my art supplies. I love our cubes from Michaels and HL, plus our 25 hole white cubbies that we bought a Meijer's years ago. We have an eclectic amount of stuff. I believe when we go to move or maybe before it gets too cold that I may paint my long dresser and 8 hole shelve black. So that all our furniture and stuff is black and white. Then buy some blues, greens and purples to use for accent colors on some back boards and bins. I have some green bins but that is all.

I think my favorite would be my Roll top desk....lots of drawers, cubbies, files....I store a Lot of stuff in it....a lot.

My favorite storage is the shelf I made...Its really just a collection of 12' long peices of wood, 9 3-tray plasitc drawers, and a peg board. All items are at reach when I am sitting at my desk in my roll-y chair. I just spin around or slide over to anything I need...Its fabulous.

My next move in there is a simple shelf above my gallery wall dedicated to housing my albums. Someday if I ever need more storage I hope to add drawers and shelves to the underside of my desk...similar to what Kotten did with her desk.

Hope its not late to join in this conversation. I have a scrap corner-not even a rm anymore as this rm has several different functions. The best item I bought was a 5' tall 5 drawer filing cabinet. Its hold 8 x 11 paper. Embellishments galore, finished pages but not in albums yet...ete. Bonus, since its metal I can use magnets to post stuff I want to save for future pages.

I would have to say my favorite piece would have to be a work in progress still but heck for a free cabinet. There's these groups on facebook called buy sell and trade. And I'm signed up for a few groups in the area. And I found a great little tiny cabinet from my local facebook group for free. Tiny yeah rite lol.

I don't like the color and there's no backing on it ether. Other then that I'm in love with it. I am currently uploading pictures of it now.
