Explore One good? (And quick Design space Q)

Hi all! New here. Anyway, I am thinking of buying an Explore One, but I'm not sure.

I used to have an expression 2, but with CCR down, it's nearly a dead machine for me since I only used it with CCR. So I'd like to invest in one of the Explores.... I didnt use my expression2 as much before, so I thought the price looks reasonable. Two pen holders and speed is not a priority for me either. My main concern is, if I get the One, will it happen that I suddenly cant use it after a few years like my E2?
Or should I invest in an Air?

And quick Q about Design Space: Can I used imported or free stuff downloaded on the internet with it?

I truth I have lost faith with Provo Craft and the Cricuts......they have proven over the years that their product becomes defunct over time. If I did not have so much invested with cartridges I would not keep using it.
With that said, as far as I am aware the only different in their Explore machines is the air does not have to be manually attached to a computer and the Explore one does......
Now if computers quit having the ports available to plug in a usb cord then who knows!!!!
My Macbook Pro does not have any USB ports but then there is still away around that!!! I do have the Air..........

I have successfully imported and used free stuff from the internet and I know a lot of other people that have too but for the most part I do not need that.

I used an Expression forever and loved it. It just recently died for good and I had no choice but to invest in something new. I know so many people have given up in Provo Craft but I guess since it was my first love I just keep going back. I ended up getting the Explore Air and i have to say I really truly love it! Still getting us to Cricut Design Space but i love that you cut SVG files and use any font you want. You can also upload and cut and even print things from the internet. I really like the print and cut feature also.

I have a Cricut explore, with blue tooth. Love it. I subscribe to Design Space and use cuts on all my layouts. If you can afford it and want to stay with Cricut's I suggest you get The Maker. Research it.

I have had an Expression for many years and love it, but was very sad when CCR went away because the legacy machines aren't compatible with Design Space. Finally bit the bullet and bought the Explore Air 2, since it was middle of the road price-wise and new enough that hopefully it wouldn't be obsolete in a few years. Also, it advertized being wireless, so I wouldn't have to pull out the USB cord every time I wanted to weld something together and cut it. I was very disappointed to discover wireless only meant if you had Bluetooth on your device (my old IBM PC obviously predates Bluetooth), so I still have to pull out the cord every time I use this machine since it's not a stand alone machine. My compromise: I keep the Expression on my desk for most cuts I want to make, but if I want to weld something or use my digital cartridges, I move the Explore over to the desk and hook it up. Kind of a pain, but I really didn't want to fire up Design Space every time I needed to cut a circle, KWIM?

I ended up buying a Cricut Explore One and got it last week thursday! But it's been so hot, I haven't been able to play with it much. I am feeling a little overwhelmed with all the possibilities on design space! Cant decide, hehe what to cut!
