pens and markers

hey all
I have seen videos about using other pens and markers
with the cricut explore and I assume they will work the same in the maker. they use an adapter in this process. can anyone give me info about these adapters? does anyone use these? the cricut markers are costly, so if the cheaper ones work, why not. does the pen holder on the maker come out to use this other adapter?

I have used a pen adapter for my Silhouette and it worked well with other types of pens. It of course does not fit in my Explore Air. In fact I had pretty much quit using pens in my machines because I find the Cricut ones don't work all that well, the ink is not as free flowing as other makers.....
This is the first I have heard of an adapter for the Cricut machines. It does not say that it will work with the maker but the Maker may have come out after the ads for the adapter. For $10 on Amazon it would be well worth the cost to find out if it will work with your machine, after all the Cricut Maker costs a lot more that that!!!!
