I may be saying goodbye to Mod Podge

I found the Elmer's Spray Adhesive to be MUCH faster and cleaner to work with to adhere pp to chipboard for minis. I put together 2 minis this weekend in record time using the spray, and no more waiting for it to dry and flatten out!

But . . . does it smell as glorious as Mod Podge does?

I never did like mod podge. stuff never dries.

BUT does it seal?

Beacon makes a spray decoupage sealer (non aerosol) that I've been using. Love it! Dries quickly and doesn't leave that tacky, sticky feel.

I've gotta get some this! Thanks for posting about it- I've been wanting some spray adhesive but didn't know what to get...

However, I haven't had any problems with ModPodge? I mean, obviously there's going to be many places this spray adhesive will work much better and great- but I've not had issues with ModPodge not drying, or being sticky? Could it be a climate thing?

Kory, I think it is a climate thing. It's pretty humid where Holly is. I don't think anything ever fully dries there

I think Mod Podge is fun (and like Melissa, I dig the smell of the stuff) ... no spray adhesive can compete

I'll check out that spray adhesive and the Beacon's one. I have had trouble with Modge Podge staying sticky when used as a sealer. I guess it rains too much in Seattle.

I have found original modge podge to dry tacky, but not the "paper" version.

Love me some modge podge. I'll be a faithful fan. The smell does make me wanna eat it, just like in grade school. Not that I really would, but ya know.

Methinks she's just doing it wrong.

I can't/don't use MP in Florida, the stuff stays tacky for YEARS. I use Matte Glaze by Liquitex as a glue & sealer. The Beacon stuff is good too, I use what ever I find first.

When I checked Elmers site for where it's sold, I saw it was supposedly only sold at hardware stores. But I did find it at my Walmart last night! Just wanted to mention it in case anyone looked on the site and Walmart wasn't listed. It's by the Mod Podge in the craft area.

Yep, elmer's inside, MP outside.

But, I refuse to gie up my MP. I also love my 3m 777 adhesive!
