Which glue to use for pictures?

Topic Closed

I've been using a bottle of craft glue for pictures that is very similar to regular glue, only it's specifically for crafting and scrapbooking. Wasn't sure if I should be using some type of glue stick instead or adhesive strips? Help!

I don't use glue for my pics, I either use 3o-m double sided tape or photo squares.

I use glue for certain things like metal embellies for instance, but not on photos. The potential is there for sticky finger prints, warpped photos, etc. I use double sided tape for my photos or Glue Dots if I need it to be extra sticky!

I've experimented with a lot of different options. Started with glue, safe but wasn't thrilled with results. I really like the double sided tape, though sometimes it can have a mind of it's own. But it really does work well. I do also like the Glue Dots . I go back and forth now between Glue Dots and tape.

I still use the glue but for other items. No longer on photo's.

My absolute FAVORITE because it sticks to ANYTHING is Terriffically Tacky Tape (double sided tape) found in Walmart,,,excellent stuff,,,

I had problems with highly glittered paper getting it to stick to photos and to itself,,,,I tried everything,,,,nothing worked til I tried that stuff,,,,,

otherwise I use adtech or the tiny Glue Dots in the glue dot runner by adtech,,,

I find that wet glue just makes my paper lumpy and warped,,,,one of my favorite LO's is warped well,,,,live and learn, right? That's how I learned not to use that glue for pictures,,,,

Oh, one more thing,,,,I've found that glue sticks just lift after a while,,,I gave mine to my grandson for when he crafts with me,,,,,

I don't like glue sticks and only use wet glue on very few things.

I love my tape runners, except they seem to go through lots of tape.

I also do not use glue on photos...and little else as well. I almost always use photo corners. The best glue pen (ball point) that I have found and LOVE love LOVE is the ZIG pen that I get at Walmart - http://store.scrapbook.com/zigsqueezand.html. It is delicate enough to not warp the paper and show thru on the other side, but is also very strong. Still, I wouldn't use it on pictures. Too plasticy to hold I'd expect.

I use double sided tape. It's the best thing I've ever used.=]

I also don't use any liquid on my pics - I prefer Duck tape runner...I like the fast easy of a runner.

use photo splits or a tape runner. Its safer for your photos and wont warp the paper you're putting it on.

I use Xyron or Glue Dots . They seem to stick the best overtime.

I use Fabri-Tac for everything when I am scrapbooking/cardmaking. It is a liquid glue that is so strong... dries clear and doesn't wrinkle. Most importantly for me is that when it is dry, it sticks for good! Great for paper, embellishments, pictures, buttons... you name it! It can be found at most craft stores in the adhesive section, fabric section and bead section. Hope that helps

I use fabritac for every ELSE but pictures. I have been using it for years, but was advised against using it on photos. It has quite a few chemicals in it (I guess it really stinks) and was told it would ruin my pictures over time.

I used glue sticks that are specific for photos. I am going to stop using them though, because I keep getting glue on my pictures, and all over my projects. I also use photo squares, which I like alot on bigger projects, but I have to cut around letters and small cut outs when trying to get them to stick to a page. I am thinking about trying Glue Dots , or maybe other options.
