"The Original Scrapbox"-Worth it??

So I've been looking in my scrap magz at "The Original Scrapbox" ads and I'm wondering-is it worth the money?? I looked up the price and the biggest is $1295 plus shipping. I defenatley wouldn't be able to get it soon as we are moving, but I thought it might be good to get (eventually) in our new house...or maybe get hubby to make one lol.

I agree that they look really cool ----- but I have WAAAAAYYYYY too much stuff to fit in there. If you have limited space and supplies it might work.

I remember seeing a thread about it awhile back. I bought a credenza for quite a bit cheaper than that. It is beautiful and it holds a ton and has some covered storage. It will also make nice office furniture if I ever want to sell it (not likely). It is in my gallery.

Thanks-after reading the other thread I don't think it's worth it. My husband can build me something that's more to my needs

When I went to the CKC in Valley Forge they were having a sale on the Scrapbox but I couldn't afford it anyways but I think the quality could have been a little bit more superior for the asking price but it is a cool idea though!! I know they have newer models that look better than the old ones they had out when they 1st came out on the market because they put the older models and the floor models on sale so they wouldn't have to haul it back with them. Just my 2cent!!!

My sister found a local builder near her that custom made her a lovely scrap/craft cabinet and even painted it her chosen shade of pink for $500. This was a win-win situation because his work(income) was very slow and she got exactly what she wanted. Just a thought.

I think the scrapbox is exorbitantly expensive!

I did what Nancy did. I bought a computer armoire --new it was about $250-$350.

Then I got another one used for $75.

They are expensive, don't hold enough and are not well made (IMHO). Go with one of the other suggestions here.

They are expensive, and they barley hold anything, well compared to what most people like me have. lol. If you want something like that, the best thing to do is make it yourself, OR go to micheals and just buy the furniture there, because i garentee, you wont spent more then you would for the scrapbox, but it will be better quality and have more space. (:
