How to hang Wooden Letters using ribbon ?

Hi ! i would like to create a wooden letter for my baby in our room and i just want to ask how do you hang a wooden letter on the wall ??? I would like to use ribbon at the back of the wooden letters and im wondering how do you attach that at the back of your letters ?

If anyone have an idea i would truly appreciate it. My due date is on May 10 and i would like to put my baby's name hanging on his nursery room.

Maybe attach a picture hanger on the back of the letter and run the ribbon through that?

To do my babies room I used a staple gun and stapled the ribbon to the back the letter. I stapled the ends of the ribbon to the letter at an angle and then hooked the ribbon over a nail on the wall.

can i just glue the ribbon directly at the back of the wooden letters ???

I can tell you what NOT to do - 30 years ago I glued (white stuff) my grandson's name to a painted wall and it is still there today, several coats of paint later. I think the letters will take out the bit of wall behind them if they are removed.

What I do for my woodburnings, which is the same general idea, is to attach a picture hanger on the back using mini nails that are supplied. You can get them in any hardware department, even at Walmart. They are easy to use and unseen once hung. Hope this helps.
