Shutterfly Prepaid Plans

Has anyone ever used the Shutterfly Prepaid Plans? I am thinking about buying a few of the packages that offer .10 prints. Maybe for 1800 pictures, which would get me 3 years worth of pictures developed.

Not all will be scrapbooked, some will just go in photo albums and some I will give to other family.

I have purchased a few prints and 1 photobook from Shutterfly. The prints were okay but the book has a few color saturation issues. It was still a cute book.

Sooo, before I buy 1800 prints (OMG that sounds like a lot!) I was wondering if anyone has used this service and your thoughts. Thanks!

I haven't used their prepaid but I have used another companies & I am still printing pictures, it was well worth it for me.

I don't know about Shutterfly because I've only used them once, but I just wanted to tell you about the site I use. PEPhoto.com offers 4x6 prints for .06 each. It says it's a special price right now, but I don't remember ever paying more any of the times I've ordered from them. Maybe .07 one time. Shipping is cheap and they have a really fast turnaround. They're located in NY and I'm in SC, I usually get my pics within a week. I have an order I'm working on right now with 274 photos in it and it's going to cost me a total of $28.63. They use high quality paper too. I've used them multiple times, even for enlargements and have been a very satisfied customer.

I did one of the huge pre-paid plans from Shutterfly once, and liked it o.k. It was my first time to pay s&h on pictures, so I paid the lump sum of $ for my picture plan, then ordered all of my pictures at one time, and when I saw the additional total that I had to pay for s&h, I nearly fainted. I think it was close to $30 for my shipping which really caught me off guard. It took my total from around $60 to closer to $100. I probably won't ever buy from them again, cause I prefer Costco. You can send them to your local store to pick up in an hr., or when I have ordered large amounts before in the past the s&h ended up being free to have them shipped to my house.

They're having an offer right now where you can get 200 prints for $20, or .10 each ....you should try that first before you commit to the 1800 prints. Or, you can sign up for the annual plan where you get 30% off all prints (including 5x7 and 8x10) for $30 (includes a free photo book)--this works out to about 10.5 cents each for 4.6 prints.

I've used Shutterfly for 3 years now and am very happy with their service. I've purchased several photo books from them too, never had a problem. You may have gotten a dud--they have excellent customer service, and I'm sure they would redo the book or refund your money if you're unsatisfied with the book.

Costco does good with printing pictures if you have a membership and I think they print 4x6 at 6 cents as well. I wouldn't go with a company you have already seen a not so great job... imo!

We have been using Shutterfly for years, and have been very pleased. They often email us Coupons for free shipping and we just print a bunch at that time. It's great if you don't mind waiting a little while to print your pictures. They also send a lot of Coupons for free 8x10's and sometimes even a free 11x13.

I use another company and bought a package plan of 750 pictures for $90. It comes out to roughly 12 cents a picture plus shipping, which is very reasonable. This is much cheaper than I can now do it at home, although it wasn't always that way. And and extra bonus is, it saves me a pile of time in printing my own. I signed up in Dec for it and am still ordering prints from it. It will be a long time before I finish it out.

The quality of the photos is very nice and I have the choice of 5.33 x 4, 4x6, 5x7 or 8x10.

I've been using shutterfly for years and LOVE it.
I've also tried Winkflash and Snapfish and the quality of Shutterfly is so much better imo. I purchased several of the 200 prints for $20. I usually wait until they offer free s&h. I get Coupons all the time from them for free things. I would definately purchase a smaller prepaid package first to see if you are satisfied with them. You can also create a web page with pictures to share with family and friends.

I love Shutterfly!!! I have been using them for 2 years. My largest order was 900 pictures and every single one was prefect. I recently had a problem with some prints (a small order) and they were quick to fix the problem and very generous too. As for shipping I think that they are decent. I live in Alaska and it is way way way cheeper than a lot of other places and I have always gotten my orders within 3-5 days.

I have literally ordered thousands of pictures from Shutterfly. I use the prepaid plans all the time. I have only had one issue with a poicture being messed up. And they fixed it right away at their expense.

Also, I beleive that if you spend $50 right now, shipping is free.

At one point, I had a complex colored picture printed from a number of different printing companies to compare. Shutterfly's was by fare the clearest and the colors were truest, so I have used them ever since.

I will tell you that I bought a TON of prepaids forever ago and the costs have dropped so much in the past few years that my prepaids actually cost more than indiv prints do now.
