Creating Keepsakes

I can't believe that I have been scrapbooking since 1995 and have never bought this magazine before OMG, it is great. I have also bought Memory Makers. I am not one to stray, but I am so glad that I did. Not only am I straying from MM, but also starting to stray away from only using CM products I'm not straying from CM completely, I've just opened my horizons

I recently went back to CM...my first experience with them wasn't great but I just found a rep in the area who is an absolute doll!

I love CK! I also, like Paperkuts..have you seen that one? I need to start buying more magazines though. ALl to often I forget that these are really a great SB tool!

I guess I'm just the opposite of you...i have never been to a cm party and don't like MM magazine...i have every issue of ivc, a lot of ck, and every issue of pk...and it's hard for me to do a layout with a white background...that's what makes this craft so great....anyone can do it in whatever style they like and everyone respects that....

I can't believe it took you this long to find CK..LOL! I have a subscription and devour each issue as soon as I get it. I've recently gone back to MM some, but I seem to get more ideas from CK.

I haven't really tried Paperkuts, guess I should expand my horizons too and check it out.

I agree about CM. I still use some of their products and like what they do, but they just can't keep up with all the companies out there. They variety of products these days is amazing.

When I started scrapping in 1998, we only had one scrapbook store in Tulsa. Now we have 4 in the immediate area and my mom has a store in the town she lives in.

I just love the Creating Keepsakes mag too! I got most of the issues! I have never been to a CM party but am planning to have one in the future cuz' I want to get the circle and oval cutter (I hate my fiskars!)

I've never seen any mag BESIDES CK! lol AND I've never been to a CM party--the only stuff I've seen/used of theirs has been at other crops when people bring it with them. I really like the style of pages in CK, it's right up my alley.

oh, and Erika--before you sink all that change into the CM circle/oval cutters (although I hear they're really good) have you tried the coluzzle? HEAVEN! All kinds of templates/shapes/sizes, and one knife that works with them all--so quick and easy, I'll never try anything else!

I, too, recently fell in love with CK! I use to think it had too many ads, but now I love to check them out to keep up with all the new products coming out. I especially love their Page Makeovers. I think they have a whole book of page makeovers...I would love to find it! I purchased a 2 yr subscription and received 3 back issues free! I get so excited when I find the newest issue in my mailbox!

Hey Tabby----I'll take your advice and try someone with a coluzzle.....I have tried the CM and it work pretty slick!

I have subscriptions to CK and MM and like them both...they both have their own good points.....I've never seen PK.

I've never been to a CM party (or whatever they are called) but REALLY want to go to one. I've also used other's stuff at crops and really love it!! I like their cutting system better than coluzzle but use it for squars and rectangles but I don't like being limited to only one font!! I think it is a little harder to use also!!

I am going to start looking at mags now! I am now sure I have missed a lot! I use a lot of different things but only CM for the albums & pages.
I have been with CM for 6 years (not selling just cropping) I recently switched reps and boy was it hard to find a good one!
CM is not the BEST out there in terms of reps & cropping but I have learned a lot.

I think I am addicted to reading the magazines - I carry one with me at all times - another of my favorites is Ivy Cottage Creations they have a web site to http://www.ivycottagecreations.com. I have had a subscription to Memory Makers and just recently subscribed to CK but I still find myself picking up Ivy Cottage.

I use CM products and actually have to CM consultants. But I have fallen prey to their anti-contraban campaign - But I am holding my position and if they do decide to take the hard line ( I have heard some CM consultants will no longer let contraban users into crops) then I will give up buying any more CM products before I give up my contraban ( I already own the cutting system and that is my favorite toy)

I had this issue - which is why I haven't been to another CM scrap since. Their stuff is great, but I can't afford to be exclusive.

When I was an active CMC and I held crops, I NEVER TURNED ANYONE AWAY FOR USING CONTRABAND. NEVER.

I just had to make that point clear.

Not all CMC's are like that, even though there are plenty who are.

I went to a 48-hour crop that my upline held. And you can bet that I used other products besides CM and she didn't say a word to me or the other 20 ladies in that room.
