How do you use Rub-ons?

I see all these neat rub on things, but don't understand how you would use them...is there some kind of special adhesive you have to use?

no adhesive.....you put the sheet over where you want the rub on to be and rub with the popscicle stick tool that usually comes with the rub ons, peel the sheet away and VOLA!!!

And a tip for using them is that you probably will be best off if you cut out the image you want to use. If you lay the whole sheet down on your paper, sometimes just the pressure of your hand brushing over them can bond a part of a rub on onto the paper and that would be a waste.

The good news is if this happens... there is any easy fix for the LO. You can use an adhesive eraser and simply erase the unwanted pieces (although they can't be saved that way). Below are some product examples of removers. Also shown is a rub on tool that some people like to use - but it is not absolutely necessary.

I use the Basic Grey rub on roller, and the popsicle sticks go to my kids for their crafts

To go a bit further in this conversation, which do you find are the best rub-on brands? I've gotten a couple that haven't rubbed on at all... and I know some ladies say if you warm it in your hands first it helps, but it didn't help with mine. Otherwise, I LOVE rubons!

I like Bo- Bunny and Basic Grey Rubons. They are good quality and go on very easily and smoothly.

I think Basic Grey has the best rubons, they are so easy.. I LOVE Fancy Pants designs but they are harder to figure out. I have finally discovered that if I press VERY lightly instead of with the normal pressure used with the BG's, then it will work. Have fun rubbin'!
