Canon Selphy CP740 Photo Printer

My hubby purchased one of these for me for Christmas. Does anyone have one? The research I did months ago showed the Epson Picturemate Snap a preferred photo printer. Hubby got this one instead because I have a Canon camera. Not sure if I should keep or exchange.

My sister has one and it takes great crisp pictures. We ended up printing a bunch of pictures out at our family Christmas dinner and everyone was impressed.

I got the Epson PictureMate Dash. and absolutly love it. It prints great quality pictures in 30 sec and dries almost instantly. And the refills of paper and ink are very manageable.

One concern I had about the Canon Selphy 740 is that the paper it prints on is perforated and you have to tear the ends off each picture. Also, the highest average review I found for it was 3.5, whereas the Epson Dash has a 4.5 average.

I am glad to hear you like the Dash, Jess. I am going to try to get that one. I just need to try not to offend hubby. He REFUSES to buy me anything scrap related, so his buying this was a step in the right direction =).

I don't know about this printer but i have the canon pixma ip 6600 and I love it
The quality is great and I can print up to 8x10 and the ink cartridges are individual, so that it's a little bit more affordable. Canon makes a good product.

I have the CP740 and I love it! The pics print nice, clear and crisp. The only thing I dont like is the perforated edges. They actually kind of break off and dont look as rough as you think they might.
