How do I mount pictures to glitter paper??

Hi I am new to scrapbooking and I bought some glitter paper, and when I tried to mount my pictures to it , they will not stick. I am using the basic mounting tape. Any have any suggestions, I would really appreciate it

A good paper glue, like Zip Dry, will work great for this.

ditto, Zip Dry is awesome! It also works over felt, flocked items, velvet and other items where other adhesives don't stick well.

On the (multiple) suggestion(s) of Amy, I bought some Zip Dry glue.

It IS great.
One tip I will add is that it DOES dry VERY fast! I was gluing down a circle. By the time I got around the circle, the first part was already dry!

I generaly use brads or eyelets.

Zip dry, Alene's Tacky Glue, Glossy Accents...any good liquid glue so it can adhere better!

Zip dry is awesome,,,,,,but if you have glue dots hanging around, they'll work wonderfully with glittered paper as well,,,,,

Ha! I dealt with this not too long ago. I'm a "dancer mom" too. I did a layout of my daughter's studio pics and used black glitter background paper. I used glue dots to stick everything down. The paper is gorgeous but I will never buy it again. It was a real hassle to work with.

I like Alene's Tacky Glue too. Just be prepared to let the project dry overnight for a good bond.

I have heard alot of people using Fabri-Tac too.

If you're gluing something on top, why not scrape some of the glitter off from that area that is going to be covered up and expose the paper--then you can just use a glue dot on that part. HTH

I use my hot glue gun on glitter paper. It also works great for chipboard and many other items. It is very fast and beats pulls sticker squares off or dots. Just love my hot glue gun!!

Do you all mean Aleene's Tack It glue? Or do they make something called Tacky Glue, too? I ask because I have Tack It on hand... That and Glossy Accents. Never thought to use them on the glitter paper! Love this board.

I use my low temp glue gun or glossy accents for papers that are tough to adhere to.

I've heard great things about Tacky Glue as well.

I quickly glittered up a piece of this festive red and white paper from the Yankee Doodle Dandy collection and applied the cute polka dot rub-on border from the same collection to the sentiment. These could be mass produced very quickly and easily and will bring a bit of holiday cheer to those still left on your holiday list!Oh, and by the way....my favorite popcorn is Orville Redenbacker's Kettle Corn that is 94% fat free! Now that is what I call indulging and eating every last kernal without any guilt!
