sayings/poems printed on vellum?

hi everyone! i would like to use my computer to print out a few sayings and poems and was told to do so on vellum sheets. i have some vellum quotes and it seems that they are visible when overlapped on photos, and change the color of the cardstock or paper.
any reccomendations or any advice would be appreciated!

You could print them on transparencies.

Do you have to have special ink to print from a printer on vellum or transperiencies?

Or prep the paper or anything?

i haven't tried it yet, it's just what a lady told me to try at the scrapbook store. what i have tried are the "vellum quote stacks" and i wasn't too happy w/ how they look unless you are using a white background.

Printing on Vellum can be alot of fun. There are different weights of vellum though. If you get a thinner vellum it won't change the colour so much.

As well, you should be able to use just about any printer to print on it. Just watch out that when it comes out it will be WET! Use clear embossing powder on the wet computer ink, and it will give an awesome effect. One of my favourite things to do is emboss on vellum!

Something else... when adhearing vellum to your pages, you should use a glue that is specific to vellum, otherwise you will see the adhesive.

Glue Dots makes an adhesive that comes in sheets, but a more effective way is to use a vellum spray adhesive (3M, Scotch etc.)

As for glue, I've always used a spray but DEBBY DARES recommends The Best Glue Ever (also from ScraPerfect) for adhering vellum. I guess I ought to try it out since I totally love the glue for embellies and paper!!!!

I think i'd heard of that powder cause that's what I had been thinking of when I read the post.
