Best glue for thick cardstock??

Hi everyone, i was hoping i could get a bit of help with my question.

I am always working with 110 lb carstock up to 200 lbs cardstock layered x4. I have pretty well mastered the thinner projects but am running into a problem when i have to adhere 1 or more pieces of 200 lb CS together, it seems to want to curve after a bit and not stay flat like i need it to.

I've tried scoth permanent glue stick for paper/fabric and scotch scrapbooker's glue that is photo safe, once i glue them together i lay it under a bunch of boxes for a few hours to dry flat and when i pull it out it's fine but after a day or so ill notice that it starts to warp and bend almost and doesnt look flat anymore.

Can anyone help with this??

Would something like the Scotch ATG work for you? It's a roll-on dry tape adhesive, comes in 36-yard rolls and uses an applicator. I never use glue stick and avoid liquid adhesives whenever possible.

Honestly, glue sticks just aren't worth a darn. IMO. They especially aren't cut out for thick cardstock. I agree with the previous poster to use a dry adhesive. A tape roller type. I have linked to a few to choose from. Everyone has a different opinion on which is better. But, truthfully, any of them would be better then a glue stick for your projects.

I layer and layer cardstock and don't always use a light weight. Never a second's problem with my ATG and the scotch acid-free refills. I think you will get a lot of thumbs up for the Scotch ATG.

I hate glue sticks. I don't care how safe for scrapbooking the label says (and there are some made with scrapooking on the label), I avoid them like the plague. They warp the paper and they don't hold up over time!

Thanks for the input, What is ATG?? It needs to be a glue or adhesive of some sort and not tape. It needs to be really stuck together and not noticeably. It's for making trading cards that had stuff in them so it will get cut quite a bit as well.

ATG is the automatic tape glider from scotch. It is tape but it is the strong stuff. Picture framers use it - when it is glued down, it stays!

Most any kind of wet glue is going to warp and give you problems for big or large papers. ATG is double sided and not even a little bit notice.

ATG is an adhesive, but it comes as a roll that is placed inside the applicator - it stands for "Advanced Tape Glider" (in the scrapbooking market) and "Adhesive Transfer Gun" (in the framing market).

beacon 3 in one or beacon fabri-tac works great. It is liquid and stays really flat.

Another vote for Scotch ATG--- no doubt!
