Puffy Paint

If you use puffy paint, where do you purchase it? I saw a layout awhile ago with puffy paint on it and it looked really cool, but I searched for it in the Superstore and couldn't find any! Is it always acid-free or is that something else you have to look out for? Also, would it look weird using it for lettering? Thanks! :]

I've used it on chipboard with UTEE and heated it up and it has a really cool puffy effect. I use puffy paint to make all my own bling. You can find it at WM, HL, J's, M's! Any craft store.

I don't know about acid free...I've never heard that it is or isn't.

You can get them at any craft store...Michaels had them for sure.

Also Ranger has their own line called Liquid Pearls.

I use Tulip Puff Paint, you puff it with a heat gun

you can also use fabric puffy paint, or glitter paint or pearl....i called the companies and it is acid free. plus it is much cheaper than buying ones marketed just for scrapbooking!

When I hear "Puff Paint" I think of the actual puff paint that puffs when it is heat set. The kind that you can use on fabric with an iron. It's actually puffy, not just dimensional like pearl paints and stuff like that.

If that's what you're talking about, just use the Tulip brand puffy paint, it's a lot of fun to puff it up with heat! Liquid applique works too.

I buy mine at Jo-Ann's, Walmart used to carry it too, but I'm not sure if they do since the re-model.

I use Tulip puff paint to make flourishes, but haven't use the heat gun. When do you apply the heat, right away or do you let it set??

Right away Without setting it with heat, it's still dimensional, but not puffed. The heat is what actually puffs it.

You can also try Stickles-similar to glitter puffy paint and in tons of colors!

Stickles is DIMENSIONAL paint, but not PUFF paint. Real puff paint puffs up when it is heat set.
