Good Quality Albums

What brand of scrapbook albums do people out there like? I have been using creative memories albums for 6 years but they are getting more and more expensive.
Some of the other brands are so pretty too. Which ones do people recommend buying? Thanks

I get albums from any and everywhere! I used to be a die-hard CM girl, but I got tired of having to trim all my pages to fit those strap-hinge albums. If you're ready to switch to top-loading, you'd be a lot less limited. The superstore here has some, but I usually get any old top-loading brand from Michaels's, Hobby Lobby, or Joann's, just watch your sales paper.

Cm now has true 12 x 12" albums. I just discovered their new albums that you can slide the pages into (you don't need the page sheets)Perfect!!

I trend to love K and Company albums, if I can get them on sale all the better. they are just so pretty. I also like the fact they have matching papers and stuff for it. Don't always use it, I tend to mix it up a bit. But I sure love their stuff.

I use all different albums--depending on what's on sale, or what grabs my attention at the time I'm buying. I'm not too picky.

No, they're more like photo albums with a fixed amount of pages in them. They're called Picfolio Max and right now only come in a few colors. Later this year, we will have slide in page protectors for our new true 12 x 12 albums. These fit in our strap-hinge albums and pages can be added to them.

I those albums!

I love the Pioneer snapload albums. Just started using them and I'm never buying anything else again. They are great and relatively inexpensive.

I bought snapload albums at Archiver's and I really love them!

I am in love with the Making Memories & American Crafts D Ring Binders...they hold so much and you don't get any easier for adding/removing pages.

I love K & co albums because i can get everything to match nicely, atm I'm doing a scrapbook using verbena range, i just love the colours and designs, Ive got the scrapbook papers that match and its truly beautiful.
I'm desperately trying to find a 12x12 peasbody scrapbook with no luck for my next SB

I love my PicFolio Max, I have 3 of them....My pages fit perfect in them, I like the regular picfolio milestone also, have a few of them too, but the MAX....OHHH I love them!

i like all kinds of brands... whatever i can find that has the look i'm going for :] so far i haven't had any issues with things not fitting or falling apart!

Don't get the Paper Studio albums from Hobby Lobby! I got one as a Christmas gift and a month later, it slipped out of my hand and fell onto the sidewalk. The pages ripped right out of the book and flew everywhere! Every single page protector in the book had at least one hole rip! How cheap!!!

I would love to try CM's new 12x12 albums! I never bought them because you had to trim the pages and I don't like that the page protector is open on 2 sides. Also, I don't like that you adhere your LO to the page. Moxie, what's this about sliding page protectors ???

I second this for the AC D Ring binders!!! LOVE them. It seems to me that they also hold more without looking overloaded. I have only used the 8x8 size so far, but it has far exceeded my expectations!

These are my favorite albums:

I like the Provo Craft 12x12 3-ring binders. They hold a ton of pages. I usually get them from CreativeXpress.

I use a lot of Pioneer albums. Have yet to have an issue with them. Overall I use pretty much whatever I can get my hands on. If it's pretty and on sale, it's mine.

Just as a side note:
I saw someone mentioned about having had dropped an album once and bits and pieces flying, protectors being ripped... From experience with an old post-bound magnetic photo album, if you add a lot of extra pages to them without changing out the size of the posts (continuing to use the multiple small posts instead of investing in the longer ones), then the chances of them breaking when falling is high.

I have several favorites. I love Chatterbox albums because they are a little larger and they actually hold layouts with lumpy bumpy stuff without the page bending in the page protector! LOVE THAT!

I also really like We are Memory Keepers. The quality on them is great AND I love that they have refill pages that hold photo sleeves for 4x6 photos. That way the photos I don't want to sb, I can just stick in photo sleeves and make the album into a hybrid scrapbook/photo album.

I have quite a few AC D ring binders now too. Liking them as well. I bought them because they had 12x12 albums at Big lots for 5 bucks! Got quite a few of these. At that price I can replace the album a few times if I absolutely had to (I don't see that being needed though...I have one that has taken quite a bit of use and it is very full. No problems so far).

Yeah....I've heard of albums "exploding" when they're incredibly full but in my case, I had 20 page protectors in the album (the ones it came with) and only 7 page protectors had LOs in them...the rest were empty! The quality of the page protectors that come with the Paper Studio albums are poor!

Thanks for all of the replies and great suggestions. I will be ordering and shopping for some different albums now. I have to say I just bought the K&Company Girl Scout album with the matching papers and am very excited to scrap my daughter's brownie troop pictures. It's such a pretty album and the papers are great. Thanks again to all.

me too plus, Micheals use to sell page protectors that had those reinforced edges and I hated having to trim my pages too. How much do these new albums go for?

I only have two albums atm. One is an american craft album and the other is one that a friend got me for christmas. Of course just went out today and got more page protectors for the one album now just need to find some that fit the album that was the gift or I will need to go buy a new one.

I buy CM's But I always go and find other ones.. I like Colorbok .

I have tried other albums but it is Creative Memories for all mine now. Some of the others just do not hold up. My DD albums are falling apart. Need new covers or new albums.

I do only Pioneer Snapload...I replaced all of my old ones so now I have almost 50 that match..they are all black and look great stacked together on my open shelves..when they were mismatched and bright funky colors I kept them hidden. And they are the most resonable as far as prices go. I order directly from their website.

I don't do the D rings because I do mostly 2-pagers and like them to be right next to each other and I have had problems with the layouts I sell that are in a D-ring coming out of the ring part and ripping the protector.
