Any "in a pinch" sub for Craft Sheet

Hi, i want to use the Ranger Distress inks this weekend and don't have time to make an internet purchase of the Ranger Craft Sheet. Does anyone have any alternative suggestions i could use temporarily other than paper underneath?

I've used grocery-store paper bags in a pinch. The Ranger craft sheet is basically oil cloth. You might be able to find oil cloth at a school supply store (maybe Staples, or Office Depot).

You don't have to buy it online. They sell it @ J's or ACMoore and Michael's and you can always use a coupon avoiding the wait in the mail and shipping cost. Like the other post said, before I bought mine I've used brown paper bag from the grocery store. I heard some people also use silicon baking mats or oven liner that you can find at dollar tree or big lots for about $5 bucks or freezer paper.

I be heard several use oven liner. I don't know why you can't use Reyolds Wrap freezer paper. I use it alot lately. The backside is a waxy coating. Like you get at the butcher shop.

I cover my counter with the other side when I'm painting, and have inked on the back side. It's cheap and can toss whatever you want.

If you're just wanting to protect your table, then plain copy/printer paper or a grocery bag is fine. Or cover your surface with plastic wrap. If you're wanting the non-stick properties, then I'd suggest wax paper, freezer/butcher paper, parchment, or plastic wrap.

I was amazed when i realised some of my scrapbook staples included kitchen foil, baking paper and plastic wrap! Saves so much $$$ on the 'correct' sheets and pallets.
