The best scrapbooking store??

Hey guys as you can see I am new to the forum and just trying to get as much information as possible. I've started with my scrap book and have made some layouts but didn't take pics of. For my first scrapbook I think I'm doing well with 2-3 Christmas pages with family and friends. I go to my local hobby lobby and micheals for my stuff. Would anyone suggest shopping elsewhere for bigger and better selections. I am very crafty so I like different sticks and papers. Also any good stores in Southern California or online sites that sell a lot of items??

I understand the need for going to a brick and mortar store. As crafters, it's important for us to be able to touch and feel things before we buy, not to mention the instant gratification. That being said, I'm just going to add, that we have over 40,000 paper crafting items for any need you can think of. Our shipping is fast and easy and reasonably priced. I know alot of local LSS have been closing so please take a look around in our store. If ever you are unable to find what you need locally, take a look around here and you might find it!

If you have a Beverly's Fabric store nearby they may have something there. I found a bunch of ribbons at the store in Visalia, but that was 5 years ago.

When you do go to an actual brick and mortar also look in departments outside the scrapbooking department. I've gotten beads, thread, ribbon, buttons, etc. in other departments.

If you have brick and mortar stores that specialize in office supplies, quilting, sewing, beading, jewelry making etc. you might check them out as well. We have a fabric store in my hometown (in southwest Indiana) that has an awesome selection of ribbon by the inch and buttons by the button. I go there sometimes for embellishments.

Since you are in Southern California you might check to see if there are any scrapbooking conventions in your area. There were conventions in Anaheim and Ontario last year. You can go and just shop. It's like shopping 30+ scrapbooking stores under one roof.

Since you are new to scrapbooking....look through the gallery here and save your favorites. Then start looking at the products used.

That's how I have found a lot of the fun projects and papers I have. Good to know how the supplies look on a layout or card.

I know others have already said Scrapbook.com but seriously...it really is THE best for supplies. I've placed 2 orders in the last few days, lol.

Another thing you might find helpful is, when people post in the gallery, they include or tag the product used in their projects so you can see exactly what was purchased. This proves to be helpful when trying to figure out what to use and buy.

I agree.. I live close to another Huge on line scrapbooking in So. AZ and even I order from here...
No other place can touch the selection they have here.. Plus, they re-order when things sell out which most other places don't do.. Don't get me wrong, I love to shop everywhere, but in all honesty you are at the #1 American online store...

I always remember that the reason we are on these boards is because of scrapbook.com. I've don't even know how many years I've enjoyed this website, nor can I count how many friends I have made through the years on this site.

My husband belongs to several message boards and he has to pay to be on those boards.

Shopping in the scrapbook.com superstore is my way of saying thank you! Its not free for them to run and operate these boards so I really want to check with them first when I need things.

If we do not support the store here and it doesn't survive, then I'm sure our boards that we enjoy so much won't survive either.

Now that I'm doing 98% digital layouts, I don't spend as much as I have in the past, but this is still the first place I go to shop, only now its for digital goodies.

When I see anything on any other site or in a scrapbook store, I check here to see if it is offered before I order or buy it elsewhere. For all the pleasure that I get from these boards, I feel it is only fair.

The store here is awesome and the customer service is the best of any site I've ever used for scrapbook supplies.
