do we keep white filler paper in

Hi, yes I am newbie! I have made several pages for my first ever scrapbook. Need to know if I need to take the white paper out of each page cover, also, while taking out the pages that I have finished, in order to photograph them, my covers are very smeared, possibly with glue stick, anyway, I guess I should not insert them into cover until I am finished. LEARNING

I take out the white paper and use it for lots of things...scrapping, cards, whatever.

And yep, definitely let the layouts dry before inserting them. I've got a few inky smudges on some of my layouts and page protectors from putting them in before they were totally dry.

It's all a learning process, right?

I don't even deal w/ an album til I have lots of pages done. In the mean time I use some cheap clear protectors. I also don't finish ea LO in order & have numerous Los going at one time. I get a lot more done this way. Thinking I had to start w/ first pg of album & finish that one before I started next one set me back years. I do the ones I have matching background paper & bellies already on hand first. I make notes for upcoming ones, if I need to be looking for additional bellies, particular color ribbon or paint, etc., what I want to say in jounaling area. The white paper can be used for LOs also. Look at gallery for white BG LO ideas. Also, you or young children can paint or ink patterns on white paper (design your own BG paper).

You're most welcome. And I swear it's this place that's got me to challenge my creativity and really try things out. So you are in the right place, believe me! The gallery is an amazing source of inspiration.

Also - I remove them because if you leave them in it makes your Album super fat. If you are using post bound it takes too much space.

i remove the white pages since i don't need anymore weight in my albums. i use the paper for scraps....it's acid free, so go for it!

I also remove the white paper and use it for scraps. It's good for practicing new techniques on.

White paper would be useful for other scrapbooking, backing, and card making as well! If you dont want the album to be fat, taking the white pages out would be a wise move.

I use the white papers mostly for BG and experimenting! Sure beats using your "good" papers. I find that they're quite handy to have!

I keep mine because I have a little girl next door that loves to "scrap" with her MiMi ... I take some scraps I know I won't use and she glues them to the blank pages....She loves it because it's big like mine

I always take the filler paper out of albums only because Jessa (my 21 month old LOVES to color and try to scrap like mommy

If I have a lot of brads or eyelets on my layout, I leave the white card in the protector just so it doesn't catch on the layout behind it. I use to take them out and one layout with a brad caught on a brad on the layout behind it when I was taking it out of the protector to show someone and it ripped my layout. So now I leave them in. I take the ones out for layouts that don't have things poking through the back and use that for layouts where my background paper is too thin to support the layout and adhere my paper to it for added strength.

I take the white paper out and use it to protect my workspace when I am applying adhesive.

I use it for mess prevention and practise paper too. I always seem to need it for something!

I use it in my printer to make sure I have my journaling where I want it before I print the real page.

If my scrap paper is thin, I adhere it to the white page and make it a bit thicker. I usually remove the paper and use it for scrap and journaling.

I use it to back some pages. For example, in some of my LOs where I use several pps in a blocking fashion, I will cut my pps to the sizes I want them and, instead of layering and wasting paper, I'll piece them together onto that "free" paper.

Or, I use it as scrap paper for journaling and matting in both my scrapping and cardmaking.

And I use it to test out my markers, inks, etc. before using them.

I use the white paper for lo's all from scraps, so there's a solid backing. Also give them to the art teacher at school. But never just leave them in.

I keep them in the protector because sometimes a accidentally cut the page to short to fit in the protector and you see the layout behind it. The white paper is better to see instead of the other LO.
