Does Cricut Explore 3 use cartridges

It's been 15 years since I've used a Cricut machine and was wondering if they still use cartridges. I'm not finding a lot of information on it.

No, the new models don't accept cartridges any more. In lieu of cartridges, you can buy or upload any svg file to cut on your Cricut. Check out Cricut Design Space online. It is the software that the new machines run off of. Hope that helps.
