Being new to this community I have been reading a lot of posts and there are times that I struggled to decipher some abbreviations used. So I thought I might start a list and post it here for folks like me to reference. This list is not complete by any means so please post your abbreviations here and I'll keep the list updated.

Thanks so much for this post! It took me a week to figure out what LSS was! (duh!) Now I won't be so clueless.

thanks for posting, sometimes I can figure out the abbreviations and other times not. that's a great collection. thanks again for helping my brain out...KWIM (Know what I mean).

I know the feeling. It took me forever to get the LSS. I'm glad this post is useful and thanks to all who have added abbreviations. My brain is too full so having this somewhere I can reference means I can clear some space.

Don't know if those are on that list 'cause just looking at that list made my brain hurt!

I remember for the longest time I couldn't figure out what "kewl" stood for - wracked my brain - too embarrassed to ask...

Finally I gave up and asked.

Kewl doesn't stand for anything - it's just a cute way of saying "cool".

It took me forever, since I didn't want to ask, what dd/dh/ds/mil/fil...stood for. I finally figured most out by comparing post to pics. But I'm curious and have wondered, what's the different abbreviation for dear son & dear sister or dear dad & dear daughter. Ok, having typed it out I see where you can say father instead of dad...but still stumped on the son vs. sister...LOL

This is a GREAT list for us newbies! In context, i figured out what the DH/DD/DS meant, but couldn't figure out what the "D" was for! lol

Wow I do not know how the kids keep this all straight.

I didn't see the abbreviation I've been curious about.

I've heard of "scraplifting," but lately, I've seen people use the term CASE or CASEing for what seems to be the same concept: borrowing someone else's idea for their layout.

What does CASE stand for?

I still don't understand what BTT (bringing to the top) means, or TOOT, or BUMPING?



Who knows? Maybe I'm just not paying attention!
