I have been researching different die cutting machines and their capabilities of using dies from other manufacturers. The Fiskars Fuse advertises that it does accept dies from other machines, but like all the rest, you have to purchase the adapter kits. I have been leaning towards the Fiskars Fuse myself, but have read reviews that it doesn't cut fabric very well.
I have also read that the Big Shot also takes other dies from other manufacturers. Again, you have to purchase the adapter kits to get them to work.
The Fiskars Fuse can use Sizzix dies (with an adapter), but Sizzix machines cannot use Fuse dies due to their thickness (though yes, the Sizzix Big Shot can take dies from pretty much any other manufacturer).
Hi there- I just got the fiskars fuse, I have a Cricut but this is my first manual die machine (very sturdy). I first tried to cut fabric, using the nestables style die. Did not have much luck with that. It is great however on paper. I make a lot of thing with fabrics and would like to do chipboard etc, (I love my Cricut but want to keep that to paper only) I'm just wondering if I should have got the sizzix instead? What do u think about the fiskars and what have tried? Fabric?
