Pictures: Glossy or Lustre

What do you prefer? Please Vote and explain why?

I'm having such a hard time deciding if i want to continue with the glossy print over the lustre print. I hope you gals can help!

I used to be a glossy girl, but I've recently switched over. They seem to photograph nicer, lol. And once they're behind my page protectors in the scrapbook, you can't see the glossy anyways. And glossy seems to show more fingerprints and glue smudges.

I do glossy cause I print my own photos.

I much prefer matte for the lack of fingerprints, but I do have a few glossies here and there.

never really bought them lustered always go for the glossy.. might have to try something new

Is lustre the same as Matte?? Cause I LOVE matte photos.

I prefer lustre (or matte) because the colors and images seem richer to me. Plus, no fingerprints! I just really like the way matte prints look.

I always do matte/lustre because of no finger prints and they just look better! Professional prints always come in lustre, so i guess i associate that with looking better?? if that makes any sense!!

I prefer the look of lustre, it seems sharper,less fingerprints. I use to be glossy until my friend started printing hers in lustre. HTH, Jaime

A friend of mine who scrapbooks always laughs when I answer this question:

I prefer glossy because I like shiny things.

I get glossy because that's all I can get if I want to pick them up from Walgreens, otherwise I'd have to pay for shipping and wait for them to come.

lustre ....less glare

Snapfish has a gorgeous matte finish on their prints, and they are having lots of different specials this week to celebrate their 10th birthday. Also, they have been shipping super-fast. Like, same-day fast. I have my prints in about two-three days from the day I order them. I love Snapfish.

To me the lustre just looks nicer and doesn't show fingerprints as much. Hope that helps.

I definitely prefer matte finish. Looks more professional and doesn't show fingerprints. But glossy is easier to have printed locally, ie Walgreens, and more convenient for me.

If I do mail order, I always choose matte finish.

Well...I have always bought glossy ultra premium photo paper b/c I print at home. I may have to try the lustre though and see which I like better.

WOW! All of my pictures have been glossy but i think im ight have to go with lustre on my next album! You gals all make good pointsI need to try them both and see what i prefer.

I always print lustre--I think they look better, and I don't have to worry as much about fingerprints. I send mine to Costco, and pick them up there--good price & quality.
