Help! My pages won't fit in the album!

I have finally completed all of the pages for my daughter's baby book (she's 5!).... and, they won't fit into the protective sleeves that came w/ the album I purchased. I bought a 12x12 bound leather album (w/posts) from Hobby Lobby.

There's no way that I can go back and trim all of the pages. It would destroy the artwork.

HELP! What do I do now?

Yikes! I know I have the same problem with one of DS's albums, but I've always been able to find at least 1 edge that I could shave a cm off of to get the page in. Sometimes the pages end up going in sideways, but I've decided that just adds some interest for the viewer.

Wish I had some advice other than sigh-and-slice.

Could you use different page protectors than the ones that came with the album? If it's postbound, you might be able to find protectors that are a slight bit bigger. The other option is to get a new album (taking a page or two with you to the store, to make sure they fit, of course). Could you use this album for something else?

Yep, I agree with buying new page protectors-generally you should be able to find some that have the same holes as the album you bought. If not, then make new holes in some!

If you buy a new album may I suggest a D ring. I have a couple and the page protectors just seem to be a bit roomier and work wonderfully well for my thicker pages.
I like Siameseplease's advice..take a page with you if you go to the store to buy a new album or different page protectors.
Not 12x12 albums are true to size. My old Mary Engelbreit album was like that...more like 11 3/4 by 11 1/2.

Pioneer albums are *not* true 12x12s. First thing I do is cut off a quarter inch from the side and an eighth from the top. That way there's also more room for lumpy pages.

I wouldn't cut! Your pages are way more important than the loss of the cost of the album. I'd try to give or sell that album and get one that works. I've never had that kind of problem with American Crafts or Colorbok. Those are the only 2 I've tried so far.

I'd buy some different page protectors - Colorbok are pretty true to size. If the holes don't match up with your album, just use some hole punchers to punch new holes.

Those albums from HL are not ture 12X12. Its a rude awaking when you first try to put in a 12X12 page. My solution is to trim the pp a bit before I make the LO. As far as your already made LOs you could try to find larger page protectors or get a new album for those pages and use the HL album you have later with trimmed pps.
