I haven't tried the Ek Success border punches, but based on customer service alone, I would go with Fiskars . I love my Fiskars border punches, and Fiskars stands behind their products. I had an Ek Success trimmer years ago that was broken before it was opened. Their customer service was awful and they would not return my calls or emails. Whenever I buy EKS items, I assume that it's at my own risk.
I'm also partial to Fiskars too! I now have 5 of their border punches and I love each one! I saw the Ek Success punches in M's, but didn't like any of the designs.
I like the Fiskars punches a LOT better. The two Ek Success punches I had I brought back because the cuts were hard to line up or didn't cut the design that was on the package.
I just love Ek Success , they go through thicker paper and cardstock so well, easy thumb lever, I do own a couple Fiskars , but I will say it is mostly Ek Success I tend to gear towards
I am a bigfan of Fiskars ...I only recently tried Ek Success ...Love them!...So I have to say...I like them both!...but I think Ek Success are a little smoother to use...
I don't prefer one over the other as far as performance goes. I'm picky about my punches believe me. I have a bunch from when I first started to sb and I have slowly replaced them w/ Paper shapers cuz the old ones take too much hand pressure to punch and I have carpal tunnel. That said - I don't see any difference in the Fiskars and EK border punches. I go by what design I want.
I'm putting in a vote for the new Ek Success slim line punches. I love that they're small to begin with and also have a locking mechanism that gives them a lower profile when not in use. I have a few Fiskars punches because I like the design, but they are too bulky and take up too much room for me. I noticed last week that the EK punch section at my local M's is being expanded, so I can't wait to see the new styles.
Beacuse of quality and warranty of Fiskars I've voting for my fav company for border punches. The EK punch with the notebook edge looks very interesting.
I like them both. I have a couple of each and they're all great! One thing I do like about the Ek Success is that they're a little shorter in length, so they take up less room as far as storage goes. There's also that cool storage container that you can fit quite a few into. I think I "need" that, lol.
