Good script fonts for Silhouette

I've seen some lovely flowing script titles with nice fat letters made on the Cricut.

I would love to create similar titles on the Silhouette, but it's hard to find fonts that join together without being very spindly. Has anyone found any that they can recommend?

I have found some free font sites that are excellent. However, at the moment can't tell you what they are. LOL
However, you can alter any font by making it "fatter" and welding it to your satisfaction.

Dancing Script OT is one font of used with success. I'll check back with a few more later, because I have several that I use. As Vivian mentioned, sometimes you have to fatten the letters a bit using the "offset" window. When I do that, I just play around with it a bit to see how thick I want the lines to be.

BlackJack is another script that works well. The fonts I use are all free fonts from sites like DAFONT, but there are fonts you can purchase from the Silhouette store, and they're only $2.99. Some of them are script fonts.

I really like Scrap Calligraphy on the Silhouette store (and all fonts are 25% off through Feb 14!). There are probably others I like, I'll check when I get home from work tonight.

Some of them do need to be thickened a little bit, but they cut really well.

I did some more surfing and discovered how to thicken a font. Would you believe that the only time I tried that before, was with about the only kind of font that thickening didn't work with.

I've discovered Pacifico too - I think that may be my new favourite font.

You can make any font thicker by using the offset feature. Its the one that looks like a bullseye on the bottom of your screen. When you click that, it brings up a screen that allows you to decide how thick to make the outline/shadow behind your letters. I usually do mine for letters between 0.20 and 0.40 depending on the font.

This is an awesome thread! I seem to always pick fonts that are too thin or intricate for the Cameo to cut nicely... I didn't know thickening the font was an option.

Where did you find "cookie"? 101 fonts had about thirteen fonts with that name, but none of them were script.

Once you type it in you just have to hit weld. I really like this font b/c you don't have to move any of the letters individually to have them touch!!

I used Par-Tay Time and Scrap Calligraphy this week, both are made perfectly for welding and were lovely (but definitely benefitted from thickening with the offset tool)

A lot of the fonts I use have been listed, but wanted to definitely give a shout out for the KG and Janda fonts on dafont.com (same designer :0) Love the fonts and they usually cut beautifully in the silhouette.

Wow! I am so impressed by how clean the intricate or fine lines on these fonts are cutting. I know I need to switch to a Cameo, I am just waiting for the money.
