Where Can I get Gamsol?

I have looked all around Michaels and JoAnns in the art supply area, and could not find it. Am I not looking in the right area, or do they not carry it? Where else can I get this?

Gamsol is mineral spirits, I think.
It should be in the paint section. Not with the ceramic and acrylic (Apple Barrel) paints, but with oil paints and canvas.

It should be available at art stores. I've never looked for it at Michaels.

Gamsol odorless mineral spirits would be found in the area of Michael's where the artist's oil paints are. If you have access to another local art store you may find it there. You can also order it online from ******** Blick.

The brand the Michaels carries (at least in Canada) is called Mono Lisa odourless mineral spirits. It is in with the artists turpentine and oil paints. Any artists quality brand of odourless mineral spirits will work and you should be able to find it at any art supply store.

look for odorless mineral spirits or odorless paint thinner.

I'm stickin' with D ick Blick until somebody mops me. I'm just not feelin' the nonsense today.

You can also get it at any hardware store if you can't find it at your craft stores! I actually prefer it at hardware stores since it is usually cheaper for the same stuff!

I'd definitely say anywhere that sells oil based paints. WackMart may even carry it.

I will have to look at M's. I went to A's to get some and they were out!!!

I found mine at J's. It was the Mona Lisa odorless mineral spirits. I haven't had time to play with it yet though.

I think Archiver's carries it now too.

I have heard people say baby oil works better (than Gamasol), I have never done it but I thought I would pass along a tip

J's in the section where their pencils/blending stumps/paint brushes/paints are. Be sure to pick up blending stumps while you're there. I forgot and had to go back.

Yes, you can now get it at Archiver's, but I must admit you can get it for far less if you just go to a hardware store and purchase odorless mineral spirits. I got mine at ACE.

Just remember that the oms at the hardware store isn't artist grade, so even though it is odourless, it does give off more fumes than the artist grade oms.
