best printer for 12x12 cardstock??

ladies- I am having a time trying to find the best printer for my 12x12 cardstock. I will only use the printer for my scrap pages, any one at the expo- evidently they showcased printers for cardstock. I am just stuck!

I wish these companies would make a 12x12 printer scanner that was halfway affordable for us!

I have an HP 8750 and it works great for cardstock. It has a feed area in the back for the thicker CS because the heavier stuff can't be fed through the roller properly. It prints beautifully.

I have an Epson R1800 and it works BEAUTIFUL on cardstock, thick and thin.

I know they have some newer printers as well in the Epson line that are less expensive than the 1800 that would work just as well and are wide format.

I also have an HP and it works great --when I use it...Luckily, I was sent it by hp b/c I really do not use it very often! Btw, they are huge in terms of room on your counter.

I have an HP and Lexmark but I am thinking about getting one that scans and prints 12x12 too so I can scan my 12x12 and 6x12 LOs

I bought an Epson Stylus Photo 1400 a few months ago and I am really impressed with it. At the time at least it was the cheapest large format Epson printer. It handles up to 13x19 borderless, although I have never done anything bigger than 12x12 borderless. The pictures turn out great. I have printed on a bunch of different kinds of paper and they all look great. But to get photo quality results you do need to use paper that is designed to print photos. You can buy matte 12x12 digital scrapping paper that looks like high quality cardstock and can be printed on in detail, the photos printed on it look terrific. The brand I use for this is PremierArt. If you don't need detail photo quality you can print on regular cardstock.
