Bible Journaling...

I'm probably behind the curve here since I just started back into Sb.com a few months ago. I have really been intrigued by the whole Bible journaling trend. I have already purchased a Bible and the basics for journaling. As a woman of faith who has been struggling spiritually I feel like God has sent this to me as a gift. Incorporating Bible study and creating. I also start BSF this Fall. Excited about that in more ways than I can express.

So the gist of this post is, who out here in SB.com land creatively Bible Journals? What tools do you use!

I haven't done any Bible journaling personally (yet), but I have seen women who have incorporated stamps, Copics, and colored pencils in their journalling. Oh and doodling. I received the Prima stamps (Ruth and Ester) as a gift for this purpose as well as cards.

ME!!! But, I do not journal in my Bible. I'm funny about what Bible versions I will read and study because some versions actually omit scripture. And, I have not yet found a King James Version or New King James Version that is a journaling bible. As a result, I created my own "junk journal" for my faith based art and studies. I have a "faith booking" board on my pinterest that might interest you.

As for supplies, I highlight scripture in my Bible with crayola color pencils because they don't bleed through the pages, the text is still ledgible, and they are inexpensive to replace if I loose one or two. In my "journal", I use acrylics, water colors, color pencils, sharpies, crayons, or about anything else that strikes my fancy. I also put scripture based coloring pages in my journal. And, I include notes from both bible readings and religious books that i'm studying. Currently i'm studying "Love & Respect" by Dr. Emerson Eggerichs. I wanted "The Love Dare", but I couldn't find it. The next book I have lined up is "30 Life Principles" by Charles F. Stanley.

Ali, they do have a KJV and NKJV journaling Bible, do you have Family Christian Stores out there in FL? That's where I found it.

I'm sure there are some of those stores in the state of FL. However, if there is one near me it would have to be about an hour away from my house in either Panama City or Tallahassee. I order most of my stuff online through Christian Book Distributors or Amazon.

I don't Bible journal but i have been to the Love and Respect conference with Emerson Eggerich. It was the best thing I have EVER attended or heard on marriage except attending the National Institute for Marriage. These two things saved my marriage with the Lord's guidance.

I am doing the study of his book alone I asked my DH if he would like to do the study with me, but he doesn't see where we have any "issues". But that is a very long and very complicated thing.....

So far I am enjoying the book.

Hi Kimberly, I actively started bible journaling in October 2016. But there are many site where you can find references on how to get started the basic supplies, etc.

I know Rebekah Jones is right here on SB.com and is offering a new FREE on-line class. That would be a great start for you.

There is Illustrated Faith/Shanna Noel, Documented Faith and others. If you are on FB you can search for them and they each have blogs as well.

I have a blog where I have posted a few bible art journaling completed projects and I update with new ones off and on (when I can find the free time).

I love bible journaling.
