Scrapbooking is a way to preserve personal and family histories in the form of a scrapbook, or memory book, as it is sometimes called.
Scrapbook pages are called layouts, and layouts nearly always include photographs. Scrapbook albums and pages are often decorated, or embellished, with additional artistic elements such as ribbons, buttons, and tag. Frequently, scrapbookers enhance their layouts with written or typed journaling that documents the photographs and other memorabilia being showcased.
