This hugely successful company has humble origins. The founder of BoBunny Press, Jan Lanoy, studied art in college but put away her paints when she got married and started a family. While raising three sons, she put her creative talents to work making and selling adorable muslin bunnies named Bo. Each bunny came with a little tag to describe its personality. The bunnies sold well enough to allow Jan to stay home with her sons. In 1996, Jan's sister convinced her to get her paints back out to begin designing scrapbook paper. Jan started painting and created two designs that she felt others would love. With papers in hand, she nervously approached her local scrapbook store in Layton, Utah to see about selling her designs under the name of her already-established business, BoBunny. The papers were a hit. The rest, as they say, is history. Jan started selling those two paper designs in a single store, but it was only a matter of time before the products spread to stores in 39 countries around the world.
As the demand for BoBunny products grew, Jan could no longer do it all on her own. She brought on a number of team members with a variety of strengths and different areas of expertise. Together, they branched out from being solely a paper manufacturer to selling a wide variety of other products, including stickers, clear acrylic albums, chipboard albums, die-cuts, ribbons, project kits, card kits, brads, stamps, journals, wood embellishments, and so much more. All BoBunny products, regardless of designer, feature Jan's attention to detail and love of color. This reputation for excellence helped BoBunny grow to become a leader in the scrapbook industry.
