1. Dog Lover Layout for Valentine's Day!
We're positively smitten over this sweet Valentine's Day layout where Ppilgrim is scrapping about a precious member of the family - her sweet dog, Finn! She created this Valentine's Day themed layout in honor of Finn's birthday and based it on a design by Shimelle Laine. With Crate Paper's versatile Valentine's day supplies, this layout adorned with hearts, arrows, and sweet sentiments is PAWS-itively darling! What a fun idea to make a Valentine's Day project about your pet!
2. Layout with Glittery Accents
This playful layout is prettier than a patisserie with all of the treats that it holds! From speckled hearts that look like sprinkles, to pops of glittery accents and, of course, a theme of love, we're swooning over Ashley Horton's cute Valentine's Day layout!
Fun tip: The use of a black and white photo on a cheery, bright color palette is a super trendy and fun way to make your layouts extra special. Try that if you're looking for a creative layout idea this Valentine's Day!
3. Unique Valentine's Day Colors
When creating layouts surrounding certain holidays and events, it's really easy to get stuck in the same color palettes over and over - we're totally guilty of this! NellahBean went out of the box with her color palette, using a scheme more typically found in 4th of July or summer layouts. Using a surprising color combination made her layout stand out from the rest, but because she included other traditional Valentine's Day elements, this layout is as romantic as it is memorable!
Fun tip: If you're looking for a Valentine's Day layout idea that's out of the ordinary, try mixing up the color scheme!
4. Colorful Layout with Washi Tape
With splashes of bright color, pops of sparkle, and a bundle of positive sentiments, we're totally swept away by Notanavgblond's Valentine's Day layout that plays with the full spectrum of color. She utilized a variety of American Crafts supplies to get messy and fun with this multimedia layout, using Washi tapes with watercolor aesthetics. Leaving the background white and using a black frame makes the colors pop, but also ensures that the cute picture of her daughter and pup doesn't get lost within the gorgeous galaxy of color.
5. Heartwarming Valentine's Layout Featuring Child
Using patterned We R Memory Keepers papers, ChristineMeyer78 made this sweet and sour Valentine's Day layout! Why is it sweet and sour, you may ask? At first glance, this funny Valentine's Day layout is totally sugary sweet, but look closely at the handwritten notes surrounding the photo! She documented some of the goofy responses that her son gives when she gives him kisses. What a fun (and funny!) way to make a Valentine's Day layout memorable and something to look back upon and smile about for years to come.
6. Layout with Lots of Layers
Delveelove created this jaw-dropping, layered layout by using My Mind's Eye, Crate Paper, Prima, and We R... and we're obsessed with the multiple layers of colors, motifs, and textures. With classical Valentine designs like hearts and X's & O's and fun additions like a typewriter embellishment and butterflies, Delveelove marries a variety of styles into one cohesive layout that we want in our scrapbooks.
Fun tip: Try adding a few embellishments that aren't obvious choices for your theme for a touch of whimsy!
7. Sweet Striped, Pastel Layout
Life With Evi is celebrating the good life with her fur babies on Valentine's Day and it's ever-evident in this sugary layout! The stripes and pastel colors make us think of cotton candy. The bows are a feminine touch that gives us another level of cute (though honestly, what's cuter than her two doggies!?)! With touches of multimedia splattering, glitter accents on Washi tape, and photographs in both black & white and color, this decadent layout is the perfect crafting recipe and satisfies our sweet tooth!
8. Nature Layout
There are a lot of things to love on Valentine's Day - our significant others, children, friends, family, and pets... but Sharon Fritchey took a moment to show her love for nature! She used an awe-inspiring photograph that she took while on a trip to New England and scrapped it for Valentine's Day. The text on the layout is from a Carole King song that she listened to while crafting - which is a fun way to get into a creative groove while crafting! Sharon played with a variety of different supplies to make this layout. The Ranger Ink embossing powders, Bazzill Basics cardstock, and Tim Holtz embellishments stick out to us!
Fun tip: Try to do your next creative project while listening to your favorite song to get your artistic flow in full swing!
9. Cozy Layout with Fabric Embellishments
This layout is full of happy imagery - from a sweet cottage style house, to fabric embellishments, buttons, and dainty tags - what a treasure trove of blessed goodies. With all of these sincere touches (look at the stitched border near the bottom!), this Valentine's Day layout gives us the feeling of home sweet home! Danielle1975 created her layout using a variety of supplies, most of those being from Crate Paper. She put them, and embellishments that she already had, together in a thoughtful, beautiful way - so effectively that we can even feel the love radiate through her layout.
10. Friendship Layout
This pretty layout is all about friendship! Created with Doodlebug Design supplies, Sivg76 create this picturesque BFF layout. With lacy doily patterns, irresistible textures, and a beautiful handmade waffle heart, we're loving this creation. What a fun way to reminisce with a dear friend on Valentine's Day - with a friendship-themed Valentine!
11. Floral Valentine's Day Layout
Scrappychick101 shared this lovely floral layout with us and we are loving the vintage vibes we're getting from the romantic, floral paper from Pink Paislee. She even fussy cut some flowers from a 12 x 12 sheet of paper, which ties the whole layout together so nicely. What a fun, romantic Valentine's Day idea.
Fun Tip: Next time you purchase a 12 x 12 for a layout, purchase two - one for the background and one for fussy cutting! If you fussy cut some of the elements, or die cut shapes, then use those on top, you'll create a lot of dimension and the colors will be spot-on!
12. Pink and Mint Valentine's Day Layout
We are loving the pink and mint trend that keeps popping up - it's so pretty! Madeline intertwines these opposites effortlessly in her layout called "Hello Valentine." Using papers, embellishments, and stickers from Crate Paper, she was able to create a cohesive layout that is perfect for Valentine's Day: feminine, romantic, but also trendy with its choice of color and geometric background!
Fun Tip: Try basing a layout's color palette on the color of the clothes in the photograph you're using (give this layout a second look - it's a wonderful example)! That will make your layout look that much more planned out and posh!
13. Valentine's Day Layout for Boys
Who says you can't use navy blue in a Valentine's Day themed project? SonjaC did just that in her layout about her two sons! The navy blue goes perfectly with the photograph she chose, the embellishments, and the mixed media art supplies! If you're looking for a Valentine's Day layout, but are shy on pink materials or don't want to use pink, adding flowers, hearts, and sentiments of love will transform any color into one suited for the day of love.
Fun Tip: Try a half and half background like SonjaC did. For example, in her layout, one half is blue with white elements and the other half is white with blue elements (think yin and yang). Doing this creates a lot of visual interest and helps tie the whole thing together into one finished work of art!
14. Romantic Valentine's Day Layout
Sometimes we want our Valentine's Day layouts to scream Valentine's Day and we love this one! Pink, lace, texture, flowers, bows, ribbons... we could go on and on with all of the symbols of love! All of these gorgeous elements lead us to a sweet photograph of two lovebirds. iluvcats261 created this layout about her daughter and son-in-law with a variety of supplies from Prima, Sizzix, Lindy's Stamp Gang, and more! This layout is like a Valentine in layout form. So pretty and so unforgettable.
