Pressed Leaves and Flowers for Layouts
A pressed leaf or flower is always a welcome site on a layout. Consider using them on one of yours.

First, press the leaf or flower between the pages of a heavy book, using a folded paper towel as a blotter to protect the pages from moisture. If you brush-off each pressed item with a natural paintbrush daily, the pressed items retain more color.

Next, mount your treasures onto pieces of heavy cardstock. I like to cut apart 3 1/2" x 5" Photo Holders to serve as small protectors. I can get two envelopes with finished edges out of each protector. Then, I slip the mounted items into the protectors and secure them onto my scrapbook page.
