How to make an accordian mini album for an altoid tin
Submitted by: Melisa Waldorf
Hi. I cut 2 strips of paper. 3 1/4" by 12". Then I mark with a pencil 2" over and score where the first fold will be. I score by lining up my steel ruler and then running my exacto along the line lightly (so that it doesn't cut all the way through) ( you always fold opposite of the fold. so in other words the scored line is on the outside of the fold ). Your next score line is on the opposite side of the paper (if you lay the paper with the first 2" page folded over facing up - the left over 10" is underneath, you are scoring on the correct side). Line your metal ruler up along the the edge of the first page as a guideline and score. Then fold the opposite direction. Now you have 2 pages. Continue to the end. Do both strips. Secure them together to make a longer mini album by over lapping two of the end pages. Look at it closely before you glue. You want to make sure page one opens in the right direction. Once secured you will need to use a corner rounder on the edges. It's tough because your punching 2 pages at a time. That's it. I glue a ribbon across the back of the last page which secures the album closed and makes it easy to remove from the container. Hope this helps. Have fun. Melisa
