Do Journaling/Lettering First, before Adhering to Background

Journal or ink any lettering (such as for titles) first, before adhering that block to background paper or to a mat, so that if you make a mistake, you don't lose the patterned paper or colored cardstock. I learned this from reading Scrapbooking for the First Time, by Rebecca Carter.
