This Dual Speed Heat Tool is from WOW! This heat tool is designed to work in the USA with 120 voltage, and a Type A power plug. This heat tool has two settings. Setting 1 produces 150 watts with a slow fan with a maximum temperature of 200 degrees Celsius and setting 2 produces 300 watts of heat with a fast fan and a maximum temperature of 300 degrees centigrade. Having the two settings makes this the ideal gun for embossing powders, Melt-It Mould Making, and can be used to dry paints, glues, and inks, and can be used on paper, wood, and fabric. This heat tool comes with a 12 month warranty from the date of purchase. Tip from the manufacturer: Never cover the vents when using the heat tool.
This is a great tool but the one scrapbook.com sent me is not the one pictured in my order or the one my favorite YouTube card makers use. Not sure if they sent me an older model or what? I’ll be contacting customer service.
I had not realized how bad my previous heat tool was until I got this one! Very short warm up time and high heat make it a joy to work with.
I love WIOW products but this heat tool was so disappointing. Don’t get me wrong, it works great however the plastic heat guard over the tip MELTED!!!! The picture shown here looks like they may have addressed this serious issue. Looks like there is wire mesh around nozzle to protect plastic shield. My unit is not very old so not sure if this is the case now. Such a bummer. The one I had before was at least 10 years old before it died.
